I dropped my X5 off on Monday 8:30am to have the amplifier replaced and rt rear tire checked for constant warnings about low tire. On Thursday at 3pm is when it was finally ready. 4 days with no loa amplifier replaced and rt rear tire checked for constant warnings about low tire. On Thursday at 3pm is when it was finally ready. 4 days with no loaner is absolutely awful. I take my son to his appointment at 3:30 in Brookfield via the streets because the freeway was stand still. Returning from the appointment I take I94 East entering the freeway. While on the ramp increasing speed the truck begins shutting down. I got the overheating warning lights and the car was rapidly dying. The top speed I could do was 40 mostly coasting. I had to pull over and barely got hit by countless vehicles flying by. I attempted to merge back on because at that location just off the ramp I was guaranteed to get hit. So I coasted downhill at 40 to the Hwy100 exit. I went south to the Quick Trip. Upon examination, the engine was overheating. The lid to the brake fluid cap was freshly broken. The cover to the engine was half attached. We waited approximately 30 minutes for the engine to cool enough to check the coolant and was shocked to see that after the MULTI POINT INSPECTION the coolant level was BELOW MINIMUM!!! I was told by Ryan they couldn’t check that because the car was hot. I don’t think this is acceptable since the car was in their possession with more than ample time cool to do an accurate multi point inspection. My vehicle was in their care for over 78 hours and they never provided me with the multi point inspection report and returned the car to me in a detrimental state of unacceptably low coolant which could’ve potentially blew my engine! Not to mention the radio now crackles and cuts off riding over any bump or crack in the road. I feel this is not the tier of service or quality I paid for or would come to expect from BMW. Beyond disappointed. More
