Second Mazda This was our second consecutive new Mazda. We traded in a 2009 Mazda 3 and purchased a 2017 CX-3. We've owned many new cars over the years, but none This was our second consecutive new Mazda. We traded in a 2009 Mazda 3 and purchased a 2017 CX-3. We've owned many new cars over the years, but none that gave us the longevity, with regular scheduled maintenance, that Mazda did. Since moving to Charlotte a year ago, we'd had the 3 serviced at Independence on two occasions and were more than pleased with the service department. I walked in last Thursday afternoon, just to look at the 2017 3 and CX-3, and left two hours later with a contract in hand. I hadn't really intended to purchase a vehicle that same day, but Jay Roman worked out a deal I couldn't refuse. Jay R. was, in a word, nothing short of PHENOMENAL. He was extremely knowledgeable about ALL of the models, patient, pleasant, respectful and accommodating. In fact, he personally delivered the new vehicle to our home, the very next evening, and drove back the trade-in Mazda 3.. He spent well over an hour showing my wife all of the bells and whistles and how to work various components - everything from the tires to the radio to the heated seats to the keyless entry. He didn't miss a single detail. Without a doubt, this was the most pleasant car-buying experience we've had in 35 years. We're still kind of in shock, truth be told; it was THAT awesome of an experience. If you're thinking of purchasing a Mazda, DO check out Independence and DO make it a point to ask for Jay Roman. Brittney was extremely knowledgeable and so easy to work with! Not once did I feel pressured, she made me feel like an old friend.
