They sold me a LEMON and lied to my face!! October 15th 2015 I went to this dealership to buy my car. I purchased a 2012 Ford Focus and was extremely excited about it. Only one day later I star October 15th 2015 I went to this dealership to buy my car. I purchased a 2012 Ford Focus and was extremely excited about it. Only one day later I started to experience transmission problems where my car would hesitate, jerk and not accelerate fast enough. I told the sale employee about my problem on October 19th when I got my registration because the problem keep reoccurring. He said, "That it was NOT a problem and the cars transmission has to get used to the driver." After this problem almost caused me to get into a serious car accident on the high way I decided to look it up on the internet to see if I could find out if there was a problem. I am EXTREMELY UPSET to find out that the Ford Focus has had a knowingly DEFECTED TRANSMISSION. The company FAILED TO MENTION THAT THIS CAR HAD A DEFECTED TRANSMISSION LEAVING ME IN HARMS WAY, this problem was known since 2012 when the warranty was extended on theses cars cause they were finding so many defected transmissions. This company failed to mentioned this and then LIED to my face. I would NOT recommend anyone purchases a car from here because you might be left with a 12,000 dollar headache which may cause you your life. More

Yeah..... no. I did a lot of research on line and found the exact car I wanted at Imperial. I called on the morning before driving the hour north to see it, and th I did a lot of research on line and found the exact car I wanted at Imperial. I called on the morning before driving the hour north to see it, and there it was waiting for me to take it for a test drive. Interestingly though, the person who took me for a spin freely admitted that he had no idea what the car was about because he was "a Ford guy" and therefore was unable to answer even one simple question about the vehicle. No matter, I figured I could figure it out on my own (?!?). So after a LOT of standing/sitting around it came time to talk financing. I told them what I was capable of paying each month (not a lot) and was assured that they would certainly be able to work with me. The rates I was offered however were high and there was a ton of pressure to buy options in which I was not interested. They would not make it work within my monthly budget. It was incredibly uncomfortable but I really wanted the car so I told them I would think about it over night (that didn't go over well...). I then called my credit union and easily secured a loan at a great rate and a monthly payment that was comfortably within my budget. When I called the dealer with my good news the reception was ... lukewarm. Still we started the paperwork. Until my banker called to let me know of all the extra fees that had mysteriously crept into the total. When I called (actually texted as he was impossible to get on the phone) Justin to talk about them, he explained (in a text...!!!!!!) what they were, that yes they were high, that he had to pay them himself when HE bought cars there, and that he would not move on them... when suddenly, POOF! A text (really? a text?!?) arrived saying that the car had been 'sold' (complete with sad face emoticon). The car was at a reasonable price and they were clearly hoping to make up a few points on me, ergo my financing and questions were not welcome to the party. Even though he/they "wanted my business". Lame. Funny though: a few days later I told the story to the super-nice dealer down the road who sold me the EXACT SAME CAR with FEWER MILES AND GREAT FINANCING. He called Imperial to casually ask about car #1 and was told that yup, it was out there on the lot, available... So I guess if you're willing to be pushed around by people who don't know their cars and be sold a lot of stuff you don't want and not question their financing, fees etc., then by all means: go for it. More
