I took my less than a year old Hyundai in for routine service (oil change). I was talked into doing a tire rotation by the service advisor, and I consented. Since this was my second oil change (first p service (oil change). I was talked into doing a tire rotation by the service advisor, and I consented. Since this was my second oil change (first performed at another Hyundai dealer), I thought I had an idea what it would cost. However, I was shocked to learn, after the service was completed, how high the cost was. I tried to get an explanation on the invoice, as it was very confusing, but the service advisors would not. They would not answer how much an oil change even cost, just kept saying it was higher. It wasn't until I did the math (subject the tire service cost, which I did ask prior to work being completed), and directly ask if the cost of the oil change was certain price did they respond yes. I did more research into the service requirement and learned that the tire rotation could have waited another 1500 miles. I also learned that they used different oil type than what is recommended for my vehicle and charged me for an oil additive. I contacted the service manager with my concerns in detail and asked for some clarification with the invoice and what parts were used and why. However, it has been over two weeks and I have yet to get a response from him. More
ripped me off! I do not like being taking advantage of! Really gives me a lack of trust for your service center, I will be going to another dealer from this point on! More
Totally bad experience At 3:30 on Nov 12, 2019 I had an appointment with Ideal Buick to have my car looked at because the “Check Engine” light was on. When I dropped my car At 3:30 on Nov 12, 2019 I had an appointment with Ideal Buick to have my car looked at because the “Check Engine” light was on. When I dropped my car off I told Justin Rodgers I would just leave it overnight and pick it up the next day. The following morning I talked to Justin and he told me it hadn’t been checked yet and he would get back to me. I waited until 12:00 and contacted Justin and he told me the technician was at lunch and he would check the status with the technician when he returned. At 2: 00 I called again and Justin told me they were a technician short (because of an accident) and the car had not even been checked and it wouldn’t be checked until the following day. I totally understand being short of help but not communicating on my initial call at 9:00 AM the fact my car might not be checked that day is totally unacceptable. Instead, Justin led me to believe the car would be checked and it was not until 2:00 that afternoon I found out differently. He even told me that even when checking it the next day he couldn’t guarantee it would be fixed because a part might need to be ordered and it could run into the following week. When learning this I asked if I could get a loaner car and he told me it was not possible. At this point I contacted the service manager (Marty Harlow) who wasn’t available at the time. However, I did talk to someone in his office and explained the story to her at which point she offered no solution and when I asked about a loaner car she mentioned I can just go to Enterprise. AT this point I had to make arrangements for someone to take me to Ideal to pick up my car because I was without a vehicle. When I arrived to get my car I talked to Marty Harlow and he apologized and told me they would take care of the vehicle the next day but frankly I didn’t want to take that chance. On Nov. 14 I took my vehicle to another dealer whom diagnosed the problem (defective purge valve) and completed the repair all within 2 hours. Bottom line, I will never recommend to anyone to ever frequent Ideal Buick for either car service or sales More

When I returned home, I reviewed the bill as usual and was surprised to discover that I had been charged $35.70 for five quarts of regular oil, not synthetic oil. I compared this charge for oil with my last bill for an oil change at the GM dealer in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from where I moved to the Frederick area last month. Five quarts there cost $12.50. As a new resident of this region, I have received several introductory offers from quick-lube businesses with prices in the $25 range for oil changes. Ideal Buick may not be competitive with its charge for five quarts of oil. -- Joe Gaunt More

Performed service, LOF, Cabin Filter, Rotated tires, Checked vehicle and corre Rose filled out request and stated it would take from 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
