I knew the exact car I was buying. I left with the car. I started off looking at leasing an odyssey several months before my purchase - as we have an accord on lease already and got a great deal. The sales I started off looking at leasing an odyssey several months before my purchase - as we have an accord on lease already and got a great deal. The sales team was very withdrawn and would not explain how my accord payment was what it was and why a lease on the odyssey was 211% more than my accord lease even though the vehicle MSRP is only 18.7% more expensive (and no, this is not offset with a down payment). I even inquired about leasing an LX as opposed to their proposed EX-L and they said "The lease for the LX and EX-L would cost the same because of incentives". This is certainly not true unless the invoice price is heavily manipulated. Which it turns out is a real thing of course. Why else would two vehicles with MSRP of 30,000 and 37,000 cost the same to lease? With no advertised incentives? They salesman did suggest considering the purchase of a 3 year old used vehicl that was certified and had low miles - which we ultimately ended up doing. But at the time It left a bad taste in my mouth to be asking some questions about leases with no answers. I had to leave and understand all the complications of leasing myself and monitor the market for 3 months to really understand how MSRP, Invoice, Money Factor, Rent charge, and Residual can be manipulated over time to get a feel for what was happening. It was at that point my family backpedalled and decided to purchase a used vehicle only a few years old with low milage. I waited for the vehicle we wanted to show up on the website and walked in and bought that exact vehicle. The sales team facilitated it and the finance team got me squared away. The salesman even identified my space pen, which I thought was really cool. I purchased on Friday evening so they said the car wouldn't be ready until Monday which I was disappointed about but it was still not cleaned from their aquisition of it so I understood. They offerred to try different options for financing for different rates so I said sure why not? I was then disappointed when I got 3 hard inquiries on my credit and when I came in they told me Honda "rejected me" but another institution gave me a lower rate than Honda. Well I make enough money and have a 760 credit score so I knew Honda didn't reject me. The reasoning given to me was "Honda wants the lease paid off before making this purchase". Which, is of course is a misleading statement. I'm sure we're not the only houshold with two car payments. So I saved 0.1% interest and now have a payment to a local bank. I'm assuming in reality - They get incentives to work with that bank. We set an appt time for 6pm to pick up the vehicle - I told them my wife and kids would be coming to see the car and give me a ride - so I asked "How long will it take?" They said 15 minutes for paperwork and usually "Way less" than 45 minutes to look at the car and show us the features. Well it took much longer than that and my wife and kids sat around for 60 minutes while I waited for the finance group and then signed the papers. For anyone with a 3 and 4 year old this was a little excruiciating. I know this review is long so here's the TL,DR - I asked for an explanation of why Odyssey leases were so expensive and didn't get one so I spent 3 months watching the market to learn. I then decided to buy a certified low mile used car and selected it online before walking through the door. So in the end I did successfully purchase a van. Which makes my experience a success. More

Extremely Impressed! I came in looking for a 2018 Honda Civic in a specific color. I had reached out to the dealership the day before to inquire about it. When I came in t I came in looking for a 2018 Honda Civic in a specific color. I had reached out to the dealership the day before to inquire about it. When I came in the next day, Gerry greeted me and already had the car pulled up for me to test drive. The whole process was extremely easy and they made me a deal I couldn't pass up. I had gone to another dealership in the area earlier in the week and they wouldn't give me the time of day since the color I wanted wasn't on their lot. They were telling me it would be such a hassle to go get the color I wanted to buy. That's when I turned to Ide Honda and I'm so glad I did! I love my new Civic! More
