When we arrived the next day to make our vehicle switch, Brad was outside doing some last minute polishing himself. We felt like Brad really wanted to sell a vehicle to us and that he was working hard to find what we needed. His professionalism, attention to detail, and upbeat personality made every interaction with him a pleasant one. We love our "new-to-us" Honda Pilot. After having my last car totaled, it was a nightmare of paperwork and phone calls and rental cars. Melinda made the car buying experience so fast and stress-free. They take care of as much for you as possible! Melinda even came to get me from dropping off my rental car; she really thought of everything. And the manager was so helpful and thorough. I felt at ease and that buying from Dick Ide was the best idea. They have a free oil change program and the car comes with a free inspection! Anything that keeps it from passing inspection, they'll fix for you for free just to make customers satisfied. He worked tirelessly to make sure I got the best deal (which I definitely did) and the car I wanted -- mine had to be brought in from Syracuse. I went in on a Tuesday night and drove out the showroom with Brad by my side on Saturday. I continue to have my car serviced at Dick Ide and Brad always makes a point to stop by a say hi and see how I'm doing. Great guy who knows his stuff! More

The entire experience from when I walked into the door to the time I drove off the lot was actually fun. He was very clear and accurate when describing the vehicle and the terms. When it came time to sign the papers there were no surprises or hidden fees. I felt that I was getting and honest and valuable deal. Upon delivery of the vehicle, Brad explained every feature and made sure I was comfortable with all of the dials and buttons. One week later I am in love with my new Honda! More

The price was lower than any Honda dealer in Rochester and It was the easiest and BEST car buying experience in my 30 years of buying cars. The free oil changes for life is great! Kent spent 20 minutes after the sale to show her how all the new electronics work and helped her program her phone into the cars Bluetooth system. On our way out the door Rich Ide personaly thank her for buying a car from their dealership. Just a great experience! More

It was mistakenly arranged for a time, that SERVICE WITH A SMILE AND THE EXTRA MILE! Scheduled my new car to have body side door molding installed. It was mistakenly arranged for a time, that upon arrival, I learned is not typically scheduled. Instead of making me return...I live almost an hour away, Billy Thompson voluntarily stayed past his shift and installed the moldings. He did it with a smile and Linda treated me like a queen. I even explained, that it was ok and I'd return, that it wasn't a big deal. However, Linda said, "We treat you like family here at Dick Ide" and I truly felt like it. Thank you Billy and Linda. I really appreciate you going the extra mile for me so I didn't have to travel so many. More

I purchases two cars from Dick Ide Honda in the past and it seemed natural to shop there again for new car. I dealt with a very nice and knowledgeable salesperson who put a price together for the new car a it seemed natural to shop there again for new car. However, there were fees that seemed strange, like a $45 registration fee for free oil changes and a rewards card that didn't seem to be of any value although they were putting $250 on it at the time of purchase. I couldn't understand why I would need to "register" with the dealership that was selling the car. I didn't understand why I would get a $250 rewards card that could only be spent on the dealership and only a small percentage was allocated for service costs. These things didn't make sense and no one seemed to offer an honest explanation for any of it so I thought it best to check out at least one other Honda dealership in the area. I was offered the exact same car and the same interest rate for financing but no free oil changes or registration fees or rewards cards. The price of the car was less than that offered to me at Dick Ide Honda. I called Dick Ide Honda and asked to speak with the sales manager, hoping that he would be willing to work with me on the price. What a huge mistake!!! Mark McAfee was brutally rude to me and it was embarrassing to be spoken to that way. When I asked about the fees and the difference in the price from Dick Ide to the other dealership, specifically asking if the difference was due to the free oil changes and the rewards card, Mr. McAfee told me that he was in the business to make a profit and if the other dealership offered me that price I should take it. And I did. Not because of the price difference, which in the end was only $840, but because I was treated so poorly by Mr. McAfee. Instead of telling me why I should stick with Dick Ide for my new car purchase even if I had to pay a bit more, he told me to go buy elsewhere. Wow!! I am still stunned by this. More
