My fx35 was having issues. Shutting off, stalling, missing shifts, etc. Took it to the infiniti repair shop, It threw a code that indicated to and the public it was the cranksh Shutting off, stalling, missing shifts, etc. Took it to the infiniti repair shop, It threw a code that indicated to and the public it was the crankshaft position sensor. P0725. However the tech at infiniti said it was a transmission code and that my valve body was bad, they could not provide any information that supported this claim. But pressed that they had the solution. The solution was a new transmission since they said they could not get a valve body part, they were out of stock. Reluctantly i let them install the new transmission. The first one they installed took a week and would not mate to the torque convertor. So they ordered another one. Second one took a week and was installed successfully. They test drove it and gave it back to me. I drove it for just a few hours before I noticed it was leaking fulid and the symptoms came back. The car shook, shut down and went into limp mode. I drove it back to the dealer. The dealer said they could not find any issues and that the fulid was residual from the install, they reset the system and gave it back to me. I drove the car again for not even an hour and it shook, shut down and went into limp mode. This time it threw a check engine light. I drove it back to dealer. This time they let me know the codes were for mass air flow sensors. I reached out very upset, I brought the car in with a specific issue over 3 weeks ago. They replaced my transmission, charged me 4k and the problem was still there. Then they want another 1200 for air flow sensors. (The 1200 is seriously inflated price of $500 part and 10 min install.) After discussing my concerns with my service advisor JM. He agreed to install the sensors complementary due to the issue not being resolved. The repair took 10 min, I have since drove the car all weekend and it seems to be back to normal. More
