Ms. Rutledge, we appreciate the time you took to leave us a review. You state that Infiniti of Birmingham should be liable for a CVT Transmission and the life expectancy of the vehicle, but unfortunately, we as a dealership do not control what type of transmission Infiniti decides to use on their vehicles. We are to sell and service Infiniti products and do not have the approval authority to repair vehicles at our discretion. We have to follow Infiniti protocol and be able to follow their procedures before any repairs under warranty are performed. Unfortunately, as you stated, your vehicle is well over the warranty period by 12,000 miles and no longer has warranty coverage. The repair or replacing the transmission in this case was not covered under warranty even after we tried getting an approval from Infiniti. We offered to discount the transmission parts and labor and even offering two companies that could finance the repairs with an approval. We are very limited on what we can do to assist you at this time, but we did offer many alternatives, which you decided to decline. Our service manager tried getting assistance on covering your repair but was unable to get an approval. You do have the option to purchase and extended the warranty on your vehicle after the transmission repaired gets done. Our service manager also extended your loaner vehicle contract as he was trying to get some assistance from Infiniti to help you with the repair cost. All vehicles have mileage and time restrictions because parts can go out at any given time, unfortunately in this case the warranty ended at 100,000.
