I went to look at a used car, test drive it and was going to buy the vehicle. I asked if they were set on the asking price. The sales women said make an offer, which I did. She returned stating they are not coming down on the price. She presented what the total cost out the door was going to be, tax, license plates, plus an additional $5000 for GPS system and a spay coating that was not optional. The GPS system is put on all their cars due to a loss of inventory from theft a number of years ago. I would not agree to this and thanked the sales lady for her time. I wasn’t even a mile down the road and received a call from her that her manager reduced the price $5000. I told her I needed to think about it. A few days later the general manager wanted to talk. We could not come to an agreement because at this point I knew I did not want to do business with them. I feel the trust was lost from being told about the GPS system being put on all their vehicles due to several cars being stolen from them years ago and they couldn’t recover them all. So they are protecting themselves at the cost of every customer that purchases a car from them. I Did end up purchasing a vehicle from a small car business in Worth where I was treated very well and at no point did I feel I was being taken advantage of like at Infinity of Orland Park. More
