KD - Kate, we are sorry to hear you are having challenges with your vehicle. However, according to our records, the only vehicle you have purchased from us was a 2007 Hyundai. It is very possible that a 16 year old vehicle could have had some paint touch up. We are unaware of the Carfax reference but all Carfax reports are disclosed to, and signed by our customers so that you know what we know. Any preventative maintenance would be best determined by a Hyundai dealer, as we don't have the tool or technicians to service those vehicles. Any warranty you might have purchased will absolutely be valid for the time and miles of the agreement, as printed on your contract. We are happy to help clear up any misunderstanding you may have regarding that. Finally, our GM, Roman, has reached out by phone to try and see exactly what we can do to assist at this point and we would appreciate it if you would give us a call and an opportunity to narrow down and address your concerns. Ron - our sincere apologies about how you felt about your experience. We worked on your Nissan with 205,000 miles. We found multiple codes for engine timing and misfiring - We replaced the intake valve timing solenoid, intermediate lock control solenoid valve, intake valve timing control and exhaust valve timing control valve. We also did replaced your rear pads and rotors and we did a synthetic oil change. After completing repair the DTC related the solenoids were gone, however, a multi cylinder misfire code was still present. and did verify the compression was low in the engine. We advised you against driving the vehicle. Our recommendation was that you needed to replace the engine for the vehicle to function properly. With low compression, the engine is going to have a hard time idling, running, accelerating. You declined as you need to get back to Wisconsin. We are glad to hear you made it back home as we were worried about you. We believe we did the best we could with the timeframe you gave us. We are sorry you had the problems with your vehicle.
