He listened to what I said and he was able to solve the problem I explained what was happening so when I left the dealership he went to check out the car and it had locked itself. Facts: Sticker price: $30,886. First offer (from back office was an insult): $34K+(financed)!!! So, I guess I was supposed to pay "4K OVER sticker price" and ignore my rebate, military discount and trade-in? LOL Also, other things were included in the first offer that I did NOT ask for like life-time oil changes ($1500+ for oil changes). These items should NEVER be presented in a price offer until "after" they are VERBALLY agreed upon (I wanted what came with the sticker price, no extras on anything!). Note 2: Last year I purchased '2' 2024 Elantras (for my children; paid cash). I expected the folks in the back to at least, acknowledge I had COMMON SENSE. Lastly, my Equifax is 820...you all said it was 729! After paperwork was done and I brought written proof of my credit score, I 'THEN' learn that Hyundai kind of uses their own system based on the number of cars financed previously (combined with information they get from Equifax). This should be explained up front instead of implying to the customer that this is their Equifax score from myequifax.com. Many people are like me and monitor their credit close to daily. It's all good though because this is exactly when I decided to just pay off the loan in which I did as soon as I received the email to set up the account from the finance company.
