I just bought a 2012 Hyundai Sonata. Miquel was my salesman and he was terrific. The price I was quoted was honored. There was not a lot of high pressure sales. I called into the dealership and spoke with Erica Kelvy who works in the internet sales department. She was extremely helpful and provided me with a wealth of knowledge about several new vehicles that I was interested in. She reassured me that these vehicles were on the lot, and that I would be able to come in the same day to test drive them. She set me up to meet directly with a saleperson, Manny DeSousa, and assured me that he was excellent. He greeted me upon arrival, and was not pushy at all! He helped me explore my options of leasing and financing. I test drove three vehicles with him, and he was patient throughout the entire process. Manny was able to answer all of my questions. I was truly treated like family by these individuals, and I got a great deal on the 2012 Sonata Limited Edition Turbo (in the color I wanted, to boot)! I then met with the sales manager, Issac, to seal the deal. He was also very pleasant to work with, and made sure I was given a great deal. In order to finalize that paperwork, so I could drive home with my new car, Manny, Issac, and Dennis stayed late (on a Saturday night!) They did not rush me at all, which speaks volumes for how high they regard their customers. I am enjoying my new car and the process went extremely smooth. If you are in the market and want to work with people that will go above and beyond for their customers, please call Erica and/or Manny and you will not be disappointed! More
We were very pleased with the service from Davis. They were not pushy or hassled you like other dealers and at the end of the night, we ended up driving off in our brand new Santa Fe. My car was a total lost due to being taken over by water during Hurricane Irene. I went to the dealer to locate a 2006 Hyundai Mitsubishi that the dealership had available for sale. Dymitri and the dealer during Hurricane Irene. I went to the dealer to locate a 2006 Hyundai Mitsubishi that the dealership had available for sale. Dymitri and the dealership staff did an excellent job of assisting me in obtaining the vehicle with fair and reasonable financing options and friendly service. I would certainly recommend them for anyone looking to purchase a new or used vehicle. More
I did not know anything about Davis Hyundai, I had been looking to lease a Sonata Limited in my area, Monmouth/Middlesex. After visiting a few dealers, I went to the dealer closest to my home. After hasse looking to lease a Sonata Limited in my area, Monmouth/Middlesex. After visiting a few dealers, I went to the dealer closest to my home. After hasseling for 2 hours, and still not nailing down a lease price, my wife called me on my cell phone. She had called a few other Hyundai dealers and told me that Mike Pugliese, General Sales Manager at Davis Hyundai would call me. He called while I was still at the local dealer. I told him I wanted to lease a black Sonata Limited. He told me that he did not have one in stock, but one would be delivered in 2 weeks. He even gave me a total price over the phone, including all fees. Without any hasseling, Mike's price was Considerably less per monthly payment then other price I had gotten. I went to Davis the next morning. I was very suprised at the beautiful showroom they had. I asked for Mike and he introduced me to my salesman Russ Sheppard. Russ showed me what they had available for immediate delivery, but I did want the black limited. Russ asked me what price Mike had quoted me, he drew up the contract, and I gave him a small refundable deposit and was all set. I asked Mike what would happen if the car did not come in on time or was unacceptable. He added to the contract that I would have a loaner until the car was in. On the day he promised the phone rang and Russ told me the car was in and ready. I went down and there were absolutely no surprises. No hassele, no excuses that they forgot to charge for this or that, or there were other extra costs. Everything was as agreed. I drove away in my new Hyundai Sonanta Limited and have been expremely happy. P.S. Two weeks later I recieved an $11 check in the mail from Davis. The registartion fee was less then they had calculated and this was a refund!!! More
I was just looking, since my car was 10 years old and had started to give me some trouble. I walked into this dealership because it was brand new. They were very friendly, not pushy at all. Had exactly wha started to give me some trouble. I walked into this dealership because it was brand new. They were very friendly, not pushy at all. Had exactly what I was looking for on the floor and got me a great deal. Dmitry was a true pleasure to work with. Sometimes buying a new car can be very stressful, but he made it a pleasure. I would highly recommend this dealership and especially Dmitry. More
WARNING, DO NOT VISIT THIS DEALERSHIP!! That is the best advice that I can give. I used Edmunds.com to get some quotes on an Elantra and Erica Kelvy from Davis Hyundai was quick to e-mail me and let me kno advice that I can give. I used Edmunds.com to get some quotes on an Elantra and Erica Kelvy from Davis Hyundai was quick to e-mail me and let me know that they had my car in stock and could beat all other offers I was given. I e-mailed her my other quotes and she came back with a quote about $150 less. I called to make sure that she had everything correct and she assured me that she spoke to her manager and that my price was approved and that they had the exact car I wanted in stock right down to the specifications and color. FLAT OUT LIE! She completely lied to me to get me in the door. I went down there the very next day and they not only didn’t have to color I wanted but they had ZERO Elantras on their lot. But I’m getting ahead of myself. When I arrived I asked to meet with Erica but was given a salesman named Dmitry Mandrik. I didn’t car as long as I got the car for my price. Dmitry started about by asking me for ALL of my information all over again. I should have taken that as a bad sign. If Erica already had an approved offer for me by her supervisor I would have at least been in their computer system. Dmitry was your typically slimy salesman. He acted pompous and thought he was smarter than he is. He didn’t fool me and I was astounded at the classless way that he spoke to a customer. When he informed me they had zero Elantras in stock he offered to let me put a down payment of $1,000 on one that should be coming in “whenever”. If/when the car actually came in I would have to pay for whatever dealer installed options they added on. So my agreed upon price just because approx. $2,000 more expensive. That was my cue to get up and leave. That didn’t stop dim witted Dmitry from chasing me out to my car in a last ditch effort to save his sale. As his story started to change I knew there was NOTHING about this guy that I could trust. I left and never went back. Thank god I found Lester Glenn. Do yourself a favor and go read their rave reviews. And if you don’t believe the reviews just visit their dealership and see for yourself. At the very least, stay FAR away from Davis Hyundai. More
LIARS LIARS LIARS I called this dealership and was put through to Charlie. I told him the exact car that I was looking for. I gave him ALL the Details, color, price I got from another dealer., etc. I tol through to Charlie. I told him the exact car that I was looking for. I gave him ALL the Details, color, price I got from another dealer., etc. I told him I was shopping around and wanted to get the best price. He said that he would check to see if they had the car. He called me back and said that they had the car and could meet that price and do a little better. I explained that I needed to know for sure because it was quite a distance away. He assured me that they wanted my business and would make good on it.He gave me the directions and we told him that we were on our way. My husband and I made the trip there and when we got there, we were told that he had to go somewhere. They said someone else would help us. After waiting awhile, we asked someone for help. He tried calling Charlie and was told that he wouldn't be back for 1/1/2 hours. Finally, we got a salesperson who showed us the car. We said that it was what we wanted and we went inside to buy the car. The salesperson told us there was no negotiating and it was sticker price. When I told them what Charlie said, this salesperson said, " He just said that to get you in the door." I have always heard about how bad car salespeople are but this was outrageous. We left.I would never reccomend this dealership. More
My experience at this dealer started off well, too bad I didn't take the hint and leave when it started to go poorly. Overall, it's tough to express my level of dissatisfaction with this place because they didn't take the hint and leave when it started to go poorly. Overall, it's tough to express my level of dissatisfaction with this place because they treated me with such disrespect and have such astoundingly bad business practices. To start, I was purchasing a used car here, the initial experience was good enough, Charlie and his manager were polite, if nothing else. Then things went wrong, they quoted a price for my trade, then changed their minds on that written down quoted price because they apparently didn't notice it was a manual. After lengthy discussion, I still left with the new (to me) car. I later found out that the hood had been (poorly) repainted, I should have noticed this, but I bought it at night. I was also told it was clear of any accidents. The after sale service at this dealer is unbelievable. It took over 2 months for me to get my tags in the mail (2 MONTHS!), during this time I was pulled over twice and just lucky enough to get off with a warning about my expired temporary tag. Davis Hyundai, (Charlie in particular) then promised to fix a check engine light that had appeared on my drive home, the car was sold with a 30 day bumper to bumper warranty so I expected no less. After driving over an hour to the dealer (I go out of my way to find a car I like) they told me that their service department couldn't even diagnose it and I should not have been told to come back, which my salesperson, Charlie had told me to do. Charlie and his manager then instructed me to take the car to a local dealer for repairs, when I faxed them the bill they told me to pay and they'll mail me a check. Well, 4 months, countless calls, and even a BBB complaint later and they still refuse to pay for the repair that was clearly covered by the included warranty. Right now their BBB rating is a solid F, and they even refuse to respond to complaints. Do yourself a favor and check BBB about this company and see how they treat their customers before walking in and getting roped into a huge mess like I did. More
