I am 57 years old & I average buying a new car about once every 10 years. It is something that I absolutely dread doing but have to do when my old "new" car starts to wear out. I just recently spent a few weeks test driving various makes & models of cars at my local dealerships. I quickly came to the conclusion that a Hyundai was for me. On my second visit to Hyundai of St Augustine I meet Rosie R and he was a joy to work with. He was absolutely low key & no pressure in his approach with me. He answered all my questions, no matter how mundane and allowed me all the time that I needed to make my buying decision. Once I did make my decision, a 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT, he made my purchase extremely easy. The car that I wanted was not at his dealership but he quickly found it in Winter Park, Florida. He had it in St Augustine the very next morning & I was driving my new car at lunchtime! When I took possession Rosie spent as long as I needed showing me how my car worked. My previous car was a 2002 and did not have the electronic capabilities that my Elantra has. Not only did Rosie take the time I needed at delivery but he has called me on two different occasions to check on how I'm doing & if I need any additional help with my car. I could not have asked for a better sales person. Rosie is a very valuable asset for your dealership! I will highly recommend him to all my friends! Thank you for selling me such a great car!!! More

I was expecting the dealership to be like all other dealerships where they are pushy, don't take no for an answer, and you have to fight for what you want. This dealership is NOTHING like that. The minute you walk in, it's a relaxed atmosphere with the friendliest people around. I live in Georgia and drove down to Florida for the used car I wanted and I would do it again if it meant coming back to this dealership. They treat you like family and they really care about you. We were offered drinks and snacks while we waited, they made sure we went and did a proper test run, and were great sorting out the finance details. I love my car and I love it even more for the memories I have of buying it. They made sure my car was fit to run, washed, and threw in a few free oil changes (Sadly, I can't use them as I'm in Georgia). Best dealership ever! This is the very first time our family has ever considered purchasing a Korean car and after 7 months of research we actually decided on the 2012 KIA Optima SX sedan. After locating the vehicle in Leesburg, Florida, we drove hours for a test drive and ultimately ended up not making a deal...what a "HUGE" time waster...never again!!! Fast forward to February 2013, we as a family decided to consider a Hyundai sedan instead of a KIA. When I arrived back to Jacksonville, Florida from Shanghai, China, I wanted to assist my parents again with a new car purchase. I discovered the Azera while browsing the internet and after locating a Smoke Metallic Gray color Azera on the Hyundai of St. Augustine website, I immediately sent an e-mail inquiry and Shawn Micheal Hays responded back with a quote. Honestly, I did not even know that this model existed when we were car shopping in 2012 as the only Hyundai that we compared the Optima to was the Sonata. From the moment we arrived onto the lot, Paul Smathers greeted my mother and I with a big smile. I asked for Shawn, but he was servicing another customer, however, he came over to shake my hand and asked if it was okay for Paul to help us, I agreed and the rest is history! Paul was extremely courteous, patient, professional and knowledgeable about all the amazing features of the Azera. After our test drive, I inquired about looking at another Azera in the same color with a technology package to compare the differences. I was sold that day on this amazing vehicle, but we still needed to get my father and mother's stamp of approval. Ultimately, after careful discussion, less than 5 days later and after a bit of negotiation via text and e-mail we had ourselves a deal! Paul was an absolute pleasure to work with, he provided outstanding customer service and was attentive to our every need. We have been in communication post purchase and I would highly recommend Paul and his dealership - Hyundai of St. Augustine! No need to go any where else!!! My parents last car purchase was in 1993 and this was hands down the most awesome new car buying experience ever! When this dealership says it gives "Excellent Service from Excellent People" they are "right on". We filled out a questionnaire online indicating we were interested in a Hyundai. It wasn't long and we received a call from Shawn Hays, his friendly and no hassle approach impressed us right off. We made the 70 mile round trip to St. Augustine because of this, and there, as Shawn was tied up with another customer, he introduced us to Kyle Showalter. Kyle showed us the vehicles we were interested in, and this young man is VERY knowledgeable about the Hyundai vehicles. When they say they do not haggle back and forth over prices, they are correct. They shot us a price on a vehicle, we told them what we wanted to pay, and Kyle came back with that price. After Shawn's customer left, he stopped by several times to be sure we were getting all the answers we needed from Kyle. We visited several dealerships locally and they could not come near what we wanted, and now we feel the trip to Hyundai of St. Augustine, was well worth it.
