Our story: We found a car online that was the make, model and year that was already within our price range. On the website, they had a "click here for ePrice" button. When you click on it, the pop up window states this, "Enter your information and you will receive a special price quote by email for this 2015 Hyundai Sonata!" Of course we did this and we immediately received a call from a sales representative stating that we would need to come into the dealership to get the special ePrice. So, we drove over. We were greeted by a VERY friendly salesperson. We told him the car we wanted to see and he didn't try to upsell us. He went and found the car and we went for a test drive. We liked the car and so we went inside to work out the logistics and to find out the ePrice, etc. There was so special ePrice. So, basically we were lured into a dealership with a promise of additional savings that didn't actually exist. So, we went back and forth with the salesperson who walked back and forth numerous times between his manager and us. Finally, the manager came over and told us that he couldn't give us the additional $500 off on the car. Other "deals" had been thrown in to make it seem like they were adding value to the car. However, we did not want those things and instead just wanted the money those added values would have cost taken out of the final price. When we explained this, the manager's face turned bright red. His tone became condescending and he asked us a series of questions that were clearly meant to undermine our intelligence. Finally, he said "I'll take off $100 if that will make you feel like you're winning." That was the final straw. Had he just offered the $100 without the snide comment, we would have made the deal. Long story long, we walked out without making a deal because of the manager. HE lost the sale for his salesperson. HE is the reason we will never return to that dealership. There is an Enterprise Car Sales place right across the street. We know because we ultimately went there, got the same care that we were going to buy at a lesser price, better customer service and a more reasonable warranty. Final aside: as we were walking into Enterprise, we received a call AND text from Grossinger Hyndai offering us $300 off. So, there clearly was wiggle room and the manager lied to us. Trust goes a long way. More

Great car buying experiance I can't say enough about the experience me and my fiancé had at Grossinger Hyundai in Palatine. Being that we were upside down on both of our cars, I I can't say enough about the experience me and my fiancé had at Grossinger Hyundai in Palatine. Being that we were upside down on both of our cars, I thought we would have difficulty making something happen on one of our cars let alone both. But the team did what they could to get us into new cars and they did and put us into deals that we were comfortable with. Never once felt pressured or uncomfortable. I hate buying new cars and going to dealerships, and although our stay was long as to be expected when buying a new car, it was the best experience I have had purchasing a car. Can't thank the team at Grossinger Hyundai Palatine enough and although I hope to not need a new car for a long time, when I do, I will definitely be a repeat customer. More
