I recently started to search for an additional vehicle for our family and was unsure as to whether I should purchase a new or used car. I had shopped several Hyundai dealerships and was discouraged becau for our family and was unsure as to whether I should purchase a new or used car. I had shopped several Hyundai dealerships and was discouraged because there was very little inventory around the Jacksonville area(new or used). My last stop was Hyundai of Orange Park and this dealership is about 40 miles from where I live. I was greeted just as I arrived by a very friendly salesman Raymond, who was apparently a recently hired employee. I was very surprised at how knowledgeable he was and that he was willing to give me all the time I needed. I was only at the dealership for about 40 minutes, and I had decided on a new Sonata and was ready to purchase one. They did not have the exact vehicle on their lot, but Victor(Sales Mgr) stepped in and said they could have THIS car here in two days, and they were able to pick it up from Daytona. Two days later I sat in Raymond's office and had the most pleasant car buying experience I have ever had. I always dread looking for and purchasing a new car, but when you can combine pleasant and car buying in the same sentence, that's pretty darn good!!! I have already recommended Hyundai of Orange Park to all my friends and family. More
I was recently in the market for a new car to replace my Hyundai Genesis, that was coming off lease. After acquiring the Genesis, I bought my son a Sonata, and have been a Hyundai fan ever since. Previously Hyundai Genesis, that was coming off lease. After acquiring the Genesis, I bought my son a Sonata, and have been a Hyundai fan ever since. Previously, I drove Acuras, including the TL and RLs. I have bought all of my Hyundais from Hyundai of Orange Park. They are a PLEASURE to deal with and are part of the Hanania chain of dealerships. Unlike most new car experiences, they make purchasing a car as painless as possible. George was a very knowledgeable salesman, who was not pushy in the least, but was truly concerned with educating his customer. The manager Victor was also great to work with. We arrived at a fair price, quickly and without the typical "car dealer" tactics one fears when entering a showroom. I decided on the Sonata Hybrid, and am loving the driving experience and fuel efficiency. If you are in the market for a car, I strongly encourage you to consider one of the Hanania dealerships here in Jacksonville. If you want a Hyundai, I give Hyundai of Orange Park a 5 star rating!! If you are in the market to buy a new ride, do yourself a big favor and talk to Carl Morgan. Waiting on tax returns to come in, my wife and I had 5 days to drive to every dealership within a two-hour drivin big favor and talk to Carl Morgan. Waiting on tax returns to come in, my wife and I had 5 days to drive to every dealership within a two-hour driving radius and shop different makes/models. I ran into all the different salesmen there are: the fact regurgitates, the high pressure, the over energetic, the slow and lazy, the crooked and the honest. All in all we probably visited 9 different dealerships on a serious level, around 15 browsing. Having a sales background myself, and a well developed ability to read people, who I was dealing with had a lot to do with where we would buy the car. Carl is a long lost breed in sales. He transforms the conversation from talking with a salesman trying to sell you something into talking with a friend listening to what you need. He is honest and straightforward with his opinions, knows his facts about what he's selling, and uses non of the conventional sales tactics you usually see. (Well, we did poke fun at him for saying the ole' "my manager's just lost his mind!" but it was all part of the fun experience.) As much as I enjoyed working with Carl, on our first visit to his dealership, he did not have the vehicle we were searching for. During the days that followed, Carl showed more drive and initiative to find it than any sales rep that recorded my phone number. (And I give this information freely.) This is a man hungry and driven to make a sale, yet holds strong to the values of being your honest friend. In my mind, that's the guy you want selling you a car folks. Several phone calls and I think two days later, Carl found the vehicle we were looking for. No games on signing, Carl stayed true to the end. A pleasure to work with from start to finish. Financing was a good experience, unfortunately don't remember the name of the guy helping but was very informational. Didn't spend much time there. Signed the papers, drove away. I gave the Quality of Work rating a 3 and that was only for the detail we received before leaving with our new ride. Don't expect much from it here, or at least be aware of the fact. Other reviews have not said good things about the service department here and I guess I'll add to them with only a detail job. The car smelled of body odor from the detailer, and the job itself just wasn't good. I'm a young guy and can clean the car myself so it wasn't a big enough deal for me to ever mention it, but you should leave a dealership with a brand-new-clean car, so its worth mentioning here. Other than that, no problems, but I try to paint the whole picture. Carl has since followed up three times to make sure that all is well. That is just unheard of from a salesman who has already made his commission. You would expect them to wipe off their hands and move on to the next, but I think the care that he shows his customers is truly genuine. As I said before, if you're in the market, save yourself the headache and just go talk to Carl. More
NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!! I'll walk you through it.... The salesman had no idea and didnt bother to look for the blue Santa Fe their website said they had so we ended up test driving a red one. Before we leav salesman had no idea and didnt bother to look for the blue Santa Fe their website said they had so we ended up test driving a red one. Before we leave, I'm reading over the sticker and notice a $500 Market Value Adjustment. He says its due to the demand of the vehicle. Well, thats bogus because Key Hyundai and Hyundai of St. Augustine dont charge that fee. I found it an odd coincidence that they're adjustment was for $500 while Hyundai is offering a $500 rebate. Finally we head into the office awaiting an appraisal on the trade. The salesman asks... "If you were going to sell your car yourself, what would you expect to get for it?" My response was "Thats a loaded question" we'd done our research and had a quote from car max. As he attempted to explain they're reasoning for asking, I responded.."that is a setup...its a loaded question, we know what its worth and you just need to appraise it" They're appraisal wasnt bad, but they're first offer was selling us their car at full retail. We obviously didnt agree with that. My aunt initialled their paper so the sales manager would go over the numbers again. The sales manager, Italian guy, dont recall his name, comes walking in shaking my aunts hand and congratulating her. She never said she was going to buy anything and never responded to him as he yelled out to the lobby to have someone go wash the car etc. He ended up walking out and she never once responded to him. She told the salesman she wasnt ready to commit tonight, we were still shopping. The manager comes back in and this is where it all went down hill quickly... I already wasn't comfortable with them, but then he comes in just completely dumbfounded that she wasn't going to buy after initialing that piece of paper. He got very rude and aggressive. Overly aggressive. Those tactics just aren't necessary these days. We left and ended up closing a deal at Key Hyundai (read my review) which is where we should have gone to start with. Key gave us invoice, no questions and gave us asking price on the trade, no questions. Key does NOT charge the Market Value Adjustment fee and their dealer fees are $300 less than OP. PLEASE do yourself a favor and go to Key Hyundai or Hyundai of St. Augustine. You wont regret it.... More
one of the worst dealerships in Jacksonville the staff tried to argue with me like a child, lied about the kind of inquiry they performed on my credit and presented me with a false number as my credit rep tried to argue with me like a child, lied about the kind of inquiry they performed on my credit and presented me with a false number as my credit report terrible place. We were greeted promptly by a sales rep, offered to look at any vehicle and had easy access to a test drive. The only part that was unpleasant was the parts/ service department's lack of helping getting the at any vehicle and had easy access to a test drive. The only part that was unpleasant was the parts/ service department's lack of helping getting the vehicle ready for us. My sales rep did most of the work because the service employees were more worried about leaving earlier on a Saturday. Also, there was a lot of back-and-forth with the sales manager and our sales rep. We did receive a fair price and trade-in value. Our financial rep was also very helpful. Turquoise was knowledgeable about the vehicle and made sure I knew where everything was before leaving the dealership which made me more comfortable driving. She was not pushy but was willing to negotiate to get us lower in our payment. More
We worked with Carl at Orange Park Hyundai. Carl found us the right car at the right price (and a better price than any other dealer we contacted) and had good follow-up after the sale. My husband and I have been looking online at many vehicles to purchase. We kept going back to the new Sonata.....so I entered a request for a quote online with Hyundai of Orange Park. In no time at a vehicles to purchase. We kept going back to the new Sonata.....so I entered a request for a quote online with Hyundai of Orange Park. In no time at all, I received a call to set up an appointment. the following day I received a call from Carl Morgan. He introduced himself and confirmed my appointment. My husband and I have had a few hiccups in our credit the last couple of years as most folks have with the economical situation.....so we were doubtful that we would get the price and payment that we were looking for. Carl was very persistent and ensured us that he would do everything possible to help us. We signed the papers and drove away in a 2012 Sonata. Jeff in the Finance department has also went above and beyond on getting us the best interest rate possible. Many thanks to both of these guys for their time and efforts in making our first visit to Hyundai of Orange Park a fabulous one! More
