I visited my nearest Hyundai dealership in desperate need of a new vehicle shortly after a collision I had had days earlier. I had a very short window of time to purchase a new car so that I could return to of a new vehicle shortly after a collision I had had days earlier. I had a very short window of time to purchase a new car so that I could return to my normal life and was worried about having to deal with pushy sales people, having just been in a wreck and being short on both time and patience. Ms.Courtney Bridges was very friendly, easy going and accommodating. She listened to my every question and responded in complete and honest detail, leaving me feel very informed and secure in my purchase. Not once did I feel pressure and I was very happy to have her undivided attention concerning my needs. She Then introduced me to both the equally friendly finance department and maintenance technicians who were delighted and appreciative to have my business. Coming home with my brand new Accent was indeed the silver lining of my horrible accident ordeal. Judging by the genuine friendliness and level of knowledge of the people whom I directly dealt with, I am fairly certain that all of this dealership's employees are great; but I can say with complete certainty that Ms.Bridges will give you a perfect car buying experience! I got a letter in the mail to get my van appraised so I thought I'd give it a try. I liked the mustang convertible that you had so I talked to Bernie about it and we worked out a deal. Went in to test drive an Accent and compare it to the Mazda3. Not very impressed with the standard features for the MSRP, but that's not the dealership's fault. The salesman was courteous and seemed to be knowledgeable, and when it became clear that we would not be leaving with a Hyundai that day, the sales manager came to speak with us (as most dealerships do). The sales manager had a very condescending tone and indirectly told us that we would not find what we were looking for: Compact 4-door with some good MPGs (33+), with power windows and locks standard, all for around $17K. When it came up that we had looked at the Mazda3, he looked at us and said (summarily): "Well if that's the car you're looking at, you should have looked at the Elantra." Maybe a good argument, if the Elantra hadn't become almost Camry-sized lately and was MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE 3. My girlfriend and I are both in our mid-twenties, I am an automotive enthusiast, and overall I am very impressed with the turnaround that Hyundai has made over the last 6-8 years in terms of quality. Suffice it to say that even if I lean toward a Hyundai for my next purchase (Genesis coupe, more than likely), Hendrick won't have my business. A shame that they're the only game in town. More
