Every visit to this dealer has been an exercise in frustration. Yesterday, after driving 1.5 hours to an appointment for a recall I was informed that they didn't have the parts. I had made this appoin frustration. Yesterday, after driving 1.5 hours to an appointment for a recall I was informed that they didn't have the parts. I had made this appointment a couple of weeks earlier, so I asked why no one contacted me to tell me the parts weren't available. I was told by the Service Manager "we don't provide that service". Don't ever buy a car or get service from this disaster. More

This dealership kept my car for a month and located a serious issue in the engine. It is a well documented issue that Hyundai corporation has admitted...an issue that has been commonly associated with m serious issue in the engine. It is a well documented issue that Hyundai corporation has admitted...an issue that has been commonly associated with my particular model. The problem is a loud knocking in the engine caused by a defective piston. This problem is 100% no fault of the consumer. However corporate Hyundai denied my claim and told me I would have to spend between 6-8,000 in order to replace the engine to in turn have a functioning car. Upon receiving the unfortunate news that I would be financially responsible for fixing the mechanical issue I was instructed to pick up my car. I picked up the car after the service center was closed and it was dark outside. I drove home to Mount Pleasant and parked my car in our garage. As I left in themorning I noticed a HUGE dent in the left passenger door. I immediately drove to the dealership to inform them of the damage. I asked to see the camera footage to see who hit my car. After a few employees began running around like deer in headlights I was able to speak to the service manager. I was told by the service advisor that there were cameras however the service manager informed me that there were no cameras except for a dummy camera and a camera on the safe. I called the police to report the accident and a report was filed on site. I was then given the number of the owner/ general manager John Booth. He had conveniently just left. I was told he would be happy to speak with me on Monday. I reluctantly left in my Hyundai that now not only had a defective engine but now had substantial body damage. I called first thing Monday morning and left a voicemail for the owner to call me back. For days following I called to discuss the situation and left messages with various employees for Mr Booth. I’m still waiting for his call. I also called corporate Hyundai and was told they are closed due to the pandemic. I filed a detailed report with them about how this dealership refused to communicate with me. After a few days I received an automated response stating that there advice was to contact my local Hyundai dealership...umm WHAT??? This dealership are crooks who refuse to take accountability and apparently it trickles down from the corporation as a whole. They took advantage from beginning to end and left me and my two children in an unsafe vehicle with mechanical and esthetic damage. Thanks Hyundai of North Charleston for failing me and my family from beginning to end. More

We went in to sell a vehicle to them and buy a new vehicle, the vehicle we went to sell was owned by a friend of ours who gave us permission to sell it to them. they agreed to buy the vehicle and sold vehicle, the vehicle we went to sell was owned by a friend of ours who gave us permission to sell it to them. they agreed to buy the vehicle and sold us a new 2020 Santa Fe, however they never paid for the old car or brought it as agreed. Now we are stuck with an extra loan payment with a baby on the way. We went in to get the paperwork from the estimate to purchase the old vehicle which we had to sign with the sales person and now they can't seem to find the paperwork, and have stated that they are not going to honor the agreement as it has been over 3 months to get the paperwork from the owner. (it has only been 2.5 months since we did this agreement). Do not deal with this company go to Columbia and deal with a reputable Hyundai dealer. We spoke with the owner and he said let me go get the paperwork and then just walked by us and went back to his office. DO NOT TRUST THEM. They lie and are cheats, of and by the way they still have the old vehicle as well. ZEKE lies through his teeth. More

$2100 add on package to the new cars. What a joke. I was looking at new cars and they all have $2100 dealer add on packages for worthless junk. $299 for nitrogen in the tires? Total scam. Charge 4299 for a full size spare if you want to charge for something useful. Also, $999 for exterior environmental protection? Nothing more than a wax job and over priced insurance policy. Same with the interior treatment for another outrageous charge. All told $2100 added to the sticker price. Would be OK if the stuff wasn't an overpriced scam. Same dealer trick they been using for decades. If you fall for it you are STUPID. You've been warned. More

It’s all about making the most he can on every opportunity. Btw, I walked the floor and listened in on many ongoing deals with salespeople. They are all giving the same tactic to strong arm the buyers. This is a reflection of their manager who basically told me to kiss his @—. They are getting thousands over msrp because they have a popular vehicle. Some may expect this but at some point this is overcharging. After back and forth you will find yourself paying much more than worth or leaving as you came because they will not budge. And their attitude, tone, etc is aggressive. It’s like they are God’s and you are beneath them. These guys will take you for every penny they can get you for. Better be careful. And for those who think they got a good deal....sorry to hear they pulled the wool over you. Search internet and I promise you can get the exact cars even the Palisade for thousands less. My salesperson was ok. Limited help as his manager in cage whom I can’t remember name but was working on Saturday Feb 15, 2020 was a complete jerk. I felt insulted leaving the lot. It was obvious he didn’t care about me. Btw, while on site I had my other Hyundai serviced and they did a great job as usual. The service people are good. The sales management is not. I am a salesperson. I know the roles very very well. When I told the sale manager I do 8.3 million in sales a year he snorted and said yea well we do $200 million and I will sell that car today when you leave for the price I want. And also told me he didn’t want to sell the car to me for the price he offered to me. Which btw was over well over the msrp. More

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, NEVER AGAIN WILL I STEP FOOT HERE Terrible customer service. AVOID this place if you can! My car broke down while I was on vacation in charleston for the weekend, had to have it towed Terrible customer service. AVOID this place if you can! My car broke down while I was on vacation in charleston for the weekend, had to have it towed to this dealer, they tell me its a manufacture defect that was recalled and I need an entirely new engine which was going to take 3-4 weeks. Asked for a rental so that I could get back home to FL and they tell me that their rentals cannot leave the state and that even if I wanted a rental, they don't have any to give me anyways. The refused to get me a rental from a car rental shop like enterprise cause "they don't do that" and told me that it was "out of their hands". I asked if they would reimburse me if I got my own rental and they said that I had to call some 800 number (which also was not helpful) and I basically got the response that someone would call me within 3-5 business days and that I may or may not be reimbursed.... There was no effort to even slightly accommodate me and they did not seem to care that I was stranded in a different state without a car to get home. I was so fed up that I had my car towed to a different Hyundai over an hour away that was so much nicer and was able to get me a rental so that I wasn't stranded in SC. I will never step foot in this place again. Also Barbara, the service advisor for my case really needs to learn how to be a little nicer, her rudeness added to this whole mess and no one ever even apologized for any of it. More

Totally ignored during service visit I took my 1 year old Hyundai in for an oil change. I was left standing in the check in area for 16 minutes. About 5 minutes in a woman said "we'll be with you soon." About 10 minutes in I went into the next room and brought myself a chair to the check in area. At one point a gentleman who was at one of the check in desks looked at me and said "I'm just the IT guy". I'm 74 years old but nobody seemed to care that I was just standing there being ignored. Everyone who has service there is supposed to get a survey by email. The next day a young lady called and asked how my visit went. I of course told her what had happened. She said she would pass on my comments and send me the survey. I waited a week with no survey and called her back. I again asked for the survey and to speak to someone in charge. She said she would send the survey and put me through to the service manager. The Service Manager didn't answer so I left a voice mail. Of course, a week has again gone by with no survey and no call back. It is obvious that they first screen the customers to determine who actually gets the survey. That way the owners think everyone is happy because only the happy customers answer. This place is terrible for customer service. Stay away. More
