Made several inquiries about a used 2002 Saturn, was told as lates as 11 am that the car was available. I wasted one hour of work, my gas and time getting up to the dealership only to be lied to and told th as lates as 11 am that the car was available. I wasted one hour of work, my gas and time getting up to the dealership only to be lied to and told that the car had be sold that morning. Classic bait and switch. I had a whole list of cars but after being jerked around you can forget any further business. Her email: The car is located on our rivers avenue location where I am at. I have included a map to my location. I will find out about it being towed behind a rv. If you have any questions please call me. Jessica Kenyon More
I originally came to this dealership after moving to Summerville in May of 2011. I had a 2010 Hyundai Sonata Limited that was purchased in 2009 when living in Florida. I needed service on the vehi Summerville in May of 2011. I had a 2010 Hyundai Sonata Limited that was purchased in 2009 when living in Florida. I needed service on the vehicle and found your dealership as the closest Hyundai store. I was helped with service by Craig, and have been coming back since. We decided to replace the Sonata with a slightly smaller car, with better gas mileage. Liked the Elantra Limited with all the equipment and decided it was the nicest, best equiped car for the price. Bernie came out to talk to us, showed us the Elantras and we took a test drive. Decided that was the car for us, and we are really enjoying the new car! More
Our purchase from Hendrick Hyundai North was such a smooth process. From the moment we stepped on the lot to the moment we drove our new car off the lot, we felt completely at ease. We never once felt smooth process. From the moment we stepped on the lot to the moment we drove our new car off the lot, we felt completely at ease. We never once felt pressured or pushed. We were able to negotiate an affordable price in a relaxed manner. Shon and Troy were so friendly and willing to answer any and all questions we had. I just can not sum up all we experienced with them in a short paragraph! Bottom line, we are thrilled with our new car and the service from beginning to end! Great job guys! More

Either ine Be informed / Do your research Pros Business Manager Tony Provero seemed great "take it home" program Cons Al & Bob not so great. Either inept or coy salesman Straightface lied to by staffmember Did not hold up to "integrity claim" Still use some old school sales tricks despite "No Pressure" claim We were shopping for a small sporty car for my wife. On the way to a Mazda dealer on a Friday, we passed Hendrick Hyundai North(HHN). My wife noticed an interesting looking hatchback by the roadside. We pulled in and met salesman Bob Flynn. The hatchback was a Veloster. It looked interesting, so we took it for a test drive. While parting ways after the test drive, Sal Imburgia, one of the managers offered to let us take it home for a day. As our initial impression of the car was really good, we agreed to do that the next day. That evening I researched Edmunds, Kelley Blue Book, and NADA to see what invoice pricing was and to see what the "Fair Market" type price was. I prepared a cheat sheet with all the costs, etc for the Velosters that were available on the lot. We picked a black Veloster up the next morning and spent the day getting a feel for it. That evening we took it back and let Bob know we wanted to buy it. During negotiations on price I told Bob I only wanted to deal with bottom line price before tax, tags, and title(TTT). As we came closer to an agreement on price, I suggested to Bob we should see what sort of financing I could get. If we agreed on a lower price later, that shouldn't affect the loan. I met their business manager, Tony Sprovero, and he pulled up a better loan rate than I got on the preapproved loan from my own bank! Tony seemed really nice and genuine. He turned his monitor and showed me the numbers. He showed me my cost before and after TTT and finance charges. When I told Tony I wasn't satisfied with the vehicle's price, he called in Al Pasquino, a sales mgr. Al offered a lower price. Although we came really close to an agreement on price, my wife and I shook hands with the staff and left for the evening to think over the offer. HHN was closed on Sunday. On Monday salesman Bob called me and offered me a lower price than the Saturday price. I told Bob for that price I would come in Tuesday and buy the vehicle. That same Monday evening, the dealership put a white Veloster on the lot which we preferred over the black vehicle we had been negotiating for(white is cooler in the summer). When I came in on Tuesday, I told Bob we preferred the white Veloster. I tried to come to an agreement on price on the white car, but the dealership reluctant to negotiate. I asked Bob about a discrepancy in the dealer add on stickers between the black and white Velosters to see if that had something to do with it. The white add on sticker was $500 more than the black one with the only difference being a set of mudflaps($85 retail). Bob brought out the guy who makes these add on stickers and he lied straight to my face saying that other things were added to the car that equaled $500. These "other things" weren't listed on the sticker though? I had spent the whole weekend researching pricing and options so I know what HHN added on to their cars and the associated pricing. I didn't call the guy out on his lie, because that would only have hurt my chances of getting the deal I wanted. So instead of focusing on that, I got back to bottom line price negotiating with Bob. Bob and Al did the back and forth stalling game making me wait each time Bob "went to bat" for me in the manager bull pen. We finally agreed to a price and then when starting the paperwork Bob and Al tried to tack on an additional charge despite the fact that we had been negotiating final price before TTT since Saturday. Instead of "title", Bob said the 3rd "T" stood for something else. I forget what it was now. When I mentioned to Bob that the 3rd "T" has always stood for "title", he told me that I was getting a loan for the car and wouldn't get the title. I drew a blank for a moment because both Bob and I know that it's tax-tag-title and me getting a loan has nothing to do with what the 3rd T meant. I guess he was grasping at straws to explain away the extra fee. I asked Bob to go back and get the additional fee waived. He went through the motion of going back in to talk to Al about the fee and came back to say the additional charge would stick. He also said he wasn't going to go back in to talk to Al again. I thought for a moment about the additional "T" fee. I asked Bob if the price for the Black Veloster he had given me over the phone on Monday would also have had this additional charge tacked on top of it. He said yes. Based on the outright fraudulent addon sticker practices, the lying about the add on sticker content, and management's practice of adding on fees after agreeing to a price, I had no choice but to leave the dealership due to their dishonesty and lack of integrity. Bernie took the time to explain everything to me step by step. He was extremely knowledgable and helpful. It's very difficult to find someone in sales who seems so trustworthy. We went to test drive the Veloster Turbo, I was weighing my options between that and the Scion FRS and wanted to look at the Hyundai Genesis. Bernie let us know that they wouldn't have the 2013 Genesis back my options between that and the Scion FRS and wanted to look at the Hyundai Genesis. Bernie let us know that they wouldn't have the 2013 Genesis back in stock for a few months. That narrowed my choices down to two. When I drove the Veloster I loved it. It has all the technology you could want in a car at a great price. I told Bernie I wanted to go home and sleep on it as well as check the price difference of the Insurance. The next day after doing some research on the car I told Bernie I was interested in it. If he could get the numbers right he had a deal. We started getting all of the paperwork before I got off from work. When we got to the dealership all we had to do was go through finance. This was the best sales experience I've ever had. Bernie is an awesome salesman and will do whatever he can do to get you into the car you want. Tommy was very explanetory on all the finance paperwork and very friendly as well. If you want a great experience with no hassle, go to Rick Hendrick Hyundai and ask for Bernie Boettcher!!! You will be glad you did. More
It quickly became apparent why the dealership was SOOOOO busy when I got there. The very honest, personable, earnest people working there all did everything they could to help customers there. I may have busy when I got there. The very honest, personable, earnest people working there all did everything they could to help customers there. I may have had to wait 15 minutes for a salesperson but the wait was worth it as Jesse was not only nice but knowledgable. Even after the sale was completed, he sat in the car with me and helped me sync my Droid to the Veloster's radio and data system. Troy got me through the paperwork painlessly and quickly. He explained everything along the way without hurrying me or worrying me. I got a GREAT DEAL on my Veloster. They did not force me to haggle with them for the sake of a game or trying to wring a couple of dollars out of me. They even threw in free oil changes for two years. I have already told a few people how happy I was with the experience. I will be sending business there anytime I am asked. More
WE started looking at Hyundai and started with Jesse but were transferred to Cliff, things didn't go so well. He wouldn't budge on the price so we left. We ended up getting a call and went back to the deale were transferred to Cliff, things didn't go so well. He wouldn't budge on the price so we left. We ended up getting a call and went back to the dealership. We paid a little more than we wanted to but Jessie took care of us and Al explained all the details and options. If the price would have been lower i would have spent more on the maintenance options. But we are very happy with our Veloster Turbo. My wife ended going back and talking to Bernie and Jessie to trade in her car. It has become a family affair.I highly recommend them to anyone car shopping. Stop and go to Hendrick Hyundai North, ask for Bernie or Jesse. It will be worth it. More
I did not go with the intention to purchase, just car repairs. I saw Roy and always speak to him because he sold me my last car. Somehow we ended up talking new cars. When they knew I was not going to be repairs. I saw Roy and always speak to him because he sold me my last car. Somehow we ended up talking new cars. When they knew I was not going to be in the area again until the following week they made arrangements to get the car to me. Since they had to get the car I wanted from another dealer I did not want to sign paperwork on something sight unseen nor be pressured to buy if I did not like it. No problem. Roy brought the car to me and explained everything about it without rushing me. I liked the car so much I signed on the dotted line shortly after Roy got here. The service I received from both during negotiations was great and actually fun. Maybe not on their part but it was for me. Both were very friendly and gave me a great price on the car. Peggy Ard More
