I wanted to test drive a Genesis after receiving a phone call from Jessica. Shawn Couch came outside as I was looking at some different models and introduced himself. I told him I had read some good reviews call from Jessica. Shawn Couch came outside as I was looking at some different models and introduced himself. I told him I had read some good reviews regarding Hyundai vehicles and was impressed with the looks of the Genesis. He took me around to the different models and explained the difference in equipment packages. I liked the 'Merlot" color so he went inside and got a dealer tag so we could go for a test ride. Mr Couch explained all the features while he and then I were driving. He demonstrated some very appreciative features such as the backup camera and proximity alarm as well as the car's very small turning radius. He knew that in our initial conversation that I was a retired Federal Law Enforcement Officer just as he, and knew that I would be much more appreciative of certain handling characteristics than the average driver. Mr Couch was very meticulous explaining all the facets of purchasing this car, from the finance application to the trade-in appraisal and the various warranty protection packages that were available. He answered all my questions knowledgeably and went in depth when necesaary with his answers to my questions. And, he made sure that I understood his explaination. At he closing of the deal Mr Couch sat in the Genesis for quite some time setting up my iPhone to the car's BlueTooth system, training me on how to make and receive phone calls and training me on the settings and operation of the Navigation system and the XM radio features and operation until I was comfortable with the operation of each individual system. This is perhaps the finest experience I have ever encountered at any car dealership; I have been purchasing new and used vehicles for 50 years and Hendrick Hyundai's Mr Shawn Couch is "That Salesman" one expects to meet at every dealership but usually experiences just a few times in their lifetime. I would recommend Hendrick Hyundai over any dealership in the lowcountry and Mr Shawn Couch ahead of any car salesman, new or used . More
