Even though Outstanding price and customer service when I purchased athe dealership's loaner 2015 Hyundai Sonata. I saw the car listed on Autotrader. Even though I live in Ohio with a phone call the sale was arranged quickly and efficiently. Thank you to Phillip Grainger, Cory Herritt, and Jerry Page. They were true professionals with southern charm. The deal was completed within an hour and the car was shipped within a couple of days. It arrived in mint condition! I highly recommend Hendrick Hyundai North. Thanks again to everyone who made this possible. Gary U. Columbus, Ohio More

We went in on 2/12/16 in hopes of replacing my wife’s 2009 Accent with a small SUV. We were immediately greeted by Luis who was happy to help us pick out a new Tucson Limited while my wife’s car was getting appraised. We looked at some number estimates and noticed that they were giving us $1500 towards the car purchase, which was well below the KBB value for the car but it was explained that Hendrick Hyundai would be paying off the car and the $1500 was the excess applied towards the purchase. We unfortunately weren’t able to make a deal right then and we wanted to do some thinking. Luis offered to find us a different car if we wanted and having looked at a BMW X1 earlier in the day, we were curious as to what was out there. Long story short, after talking with a sales manager, Michael, we arrived at an X1 that we were willing to work numbers on and that’s where the fun begins. The original price: $26425 out the door. First of all, and admittedly most trivial, was that the color of our chosen car was not on the purchase agreement but instead was the color of the car that we had previously discussed. Having past trouble with incorrect paperwork, I sent it back to be corrected. Secondly, when the paperwork came back with the correct color, the sales manager noticed that they had left the new car rebate ($1000) on the agreement and we were informed that it would have come off, understandably so. Price now: $27425 out the door. Third, and similar to the above, after deciding on the used X1, I was asked to fill out a proof of military service for $500 dollars off a car purchase. When I asked if that would make up for some of the $1000 mistake, I was told that the coupon was also only for a new car purchase and when asked why I filled it out in the first place, the response was I don’t know, I’m sorry. At this point, seeing the numbers and them being agreeable to us, we authorized Hendrick Hyundai to pull our credit to obtain financing offers. Fourth, Luis came back after our credit was run to hash out details and solidify our purchase of the X1. He was going over the paperwork with us and I noticed that the left section regarding payoff showed that $.00 was going to Navy Federal for the payoff of my wife’s car. When asked about this, he said that it would be taken care of with finance, which after buying a few cars, I knew to be one of the very last steps and not a place to be negotiating numbers. I asked to review the paperwork and the page specifically for the lien payoff also indicated that $.00 was going towards the payoff of the trade in. Luis took the paperwork back to Michael, who then came out to explain that customer care had somehow left off the payoff from the paperwork and it would be added. Luis returned with the new paperwork that had the $4000 payoff added. Price now: $31425 out the door. At this point we had been at the dealership for about 4 hours and were furious that our time had been wasted due to all of the oversights, miscommunications, inexperience and downright sloppiness of the price negotiation process. This process resulted in us authorizing our credit reports to be obtained under false pretenses and several hard inquiries that resulted in dips in our credit scores. We had a follow up call where we outline the story above and expressed our unhappiness. I will definitely upgrade this review should Hendrick Hyundai decide that they want to take steps to correct the credit hits or honor the original price quoted. Update 2/13/16: Stopped in and talked to a sales manager, Jerry, who said that he would look into putting together a letter to the credit reporting agencies to remove the hard inquiries due to the errors made by the dealership. He said he would get back to me Monday. More
