I responded Sep 2 to an email from Shayla confirming I needed the car serviced. I bought the vehicle at the same dealership in July and had an ongoing electrical problem with warning lights/dome light/tru needed the car serviced. I figured this was a minor problem with a defective sensor or an electrical short as the car was still drivable. In the past my problems with warning lights have taken an hour or two to fix at other companies. I showed up first thing Monday morning Sep 13. The cashier Christine - if that is her real name - totally discounted my emails with Shayla, the fact that I had just bought the brand new 2021 Accent at the same dealership, and that I was first in line. Rep was rude with me when I tried to explain problems with vehicle. She said I had to come back the following Monday. After complaining I reluctantly accepted a future appointment. I then received an email stating that I had a 10 a.m. appointment the same day. I drove back and showed them the email. Rep stated she made a mistake but would honor the appt. I was then told a diagnostic would take 2 days. They gave me a ride home. It is now Sep 19 and the car is still there. The dealer website only shows the car is 'in service' with no details. Dealership refuses to give me a rental car until they are able to diagnose what the problem with the car is. I have now spent just over $200 on transportation since my car was left at service dept.. At this rate the car will be there for 1 to 2 months and I have no recourse, no income, and nobody will help me. I would give zero stars if I could. More
Compared to all of the other dealerships I’ve visited (about 6) Hyundai of Metairie was the best, most professional, and forthcoming. Everyone I encountered was helpful, proactive, and pleasant. My experience with this dealership was, by far, the best car shopping experience I could have asked for. More
