My car broke in December so I called and was told that I was able to have my car towed directly to the dealership. After not hearing back the next day, my husband called and was told by Bill, the car would be serviced in a few days. No further information or communication was given so I called back again a week later and was told the servicer would get to my car Tuesday. Still no communication. After calling today, the service director Bobby tells me that I have to tow my car off of the lot and can have it towed back after making an appointment for service that would probably be toward the first week of February. He then told me that my story was unreliable because I did not have all the names of everyone I spoke to. He then proceeded to tell me that the people I did speak to are no longer working there. Left a message for the GM Marcin to contact me regarding the matter, did not receive a call. Went directly to the dealership and found the GM sitting in the front desk on his cell phone. After speaking to the GM Marcin, he was dismissive and continued stating that the employers I dealt with were no longer working there. There was still no resolution and no empathy. Being in the medical field, I understand staffing shortages, however, I am pretty sure that they are losing staff because of Bobby and the management. If Bobby speaks so disrespectfully toward a customer, I cannot even imagine how he speaks to employees. Their customer service was awful. I can no longer trust them, their word, or their service. First of all, the car was listed on the website for 22000 and when I was drawing up my finance papers, they tried to sell me it for 29000. They told me that all of the cars are cheaper on the website to attract customers. They add in a $2800 paint protection charge, and tried to charge me a $3000 certification fee when the car was already certified- so be ready to get a quote for $10,000 over the sticker price of the car. It took me calling four times and asking for my finance papers to finally receive them. I also was supposed to receive a $5000 check from what was left over from paying off my old vehicle. They told me I would get it in a few days, but three week later I still haven’t received it and finance can’t tell me when I will. They matched my CarMax offer, but if I knew it would take this long, I would’ve just went to CarMax and got cash on the spot. HERE IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM: As I was driving home on the highway, I heard an obnoxious knocking sound under the car. I stopped to check it out, and the entire splash guard on the bottom of the car was falling off. I called my salesman, and he told me he already ordered the part but it wouldn’t be here for a week. They never let me know that this was an issue with the car, and then told me that I’d have to bring the car back to have it fixed. I live an hour and a half away and can’t go over 30 mph without the bottom of the car sounding like it’s going to fall off. I planned on taking the car on a road trip after I bought it, and I couldn’t because they withheld this piece of information from me. I am irate at the fact that I just bought a new car that I can’t even drive!!!! Altogether, I feel like this place withheld information from me and tried to scam me and got defensive when I challenged them. This was an extremely frustrating experience, and after reading all the other bad reviews, I wish I would’ve just went somewhere else. More
The service rendered by the sales rep was exceptional, but the finance team headed by Osilyn was not a positive experience. After buying a vehicle with a mileage of about 31, 380 with the recommendation but the finance team headed by Osilyn was not a positive experience. After buying a vehicle with a mileage of about 31, 380 with the recommendation that it was going to be certified preowned which would come with a level of warranty, I was shocked when Osilyn told me that even though it was stated on carfax that there was still an outstanding warranty on the vehicle that they couldn't offer any warranty. I was amazed because the only reason I chose the vehicle was that it was certified preowned. I feel like I was tricked into buying the vehicle. Feel extremely cheated. More
Contacted the dealership online about a new car. An appointment was made, the dealership sent email reminders to be there on time. Arrived promptly. The place was a zoo. Went and stood by the floor mod appointment was made, the dealership sent email reminders to be there on time. Arrived promptly. The place was a zoo. Went and stood by the floor model of the car we were interested in. After 10 mins no one approached us. Went to the desk. Turns out the person who sent the emails didn't even work there! Some sales rep said he could help us, and if we just went back over to the demo he'd be there in a minute. Waited another 10. Finally looked up the next closest Hyundai dealership on my phone, and headed there, where we were promptly greeted at the door, given full attention, offered a test drive, and, once the paperwork was done, were on the road in the new car. Hyundai of Lincolnwood missed an easy sale due to a poorly managed showroom. More
I went here to buy my very first New car and this was the biggest disappointment I have ever been through. I bought a "new" car from them and there was so many problems that I don't even know where to begin. biggest disappointment I have ever been through. I bought a "new" car from them and there was so many problems that I don't even know where to begin. If there was such thing as zero stars that is what they'd be getting. First off, the car they sold me was disgustingly dirty. It was a previous loaner but seriously, they couldn't of cleaned it first before selling it? Second, there was cosmetic damage, again should of been fixed before sale. When I bought it I agreed that I'd buy it if they did both and we settled on it. Come a few days after purchase I don't here a single thing from them and I was calling the sales persons number over and over again to no answer. I eventually called the dealership and only got stuff figured out by talking to the GM. Skip forward to already have the car back at the dealership, I don't get any updates at all. I was the one that had to check to see what the heck was going on with my car. On top of that they had the car for over A WEEK. Only the day before I got to pick it up did I hear anything back. When I got back, the car was cleaner but nothing like a "new" car should be. Still had stains on the roof, front window smeared, simple stuff that should of been handled with my car being gone for a week. To top that off, THEY THREW AWAY EVERYTHING THAT WAS IN MY CAR; my weather mats, my charging cables and even my temp license plate papers. Like who does that? I asked where everything was and of course they didn't have a clue like I was the dumb one. The body damage on the door was fixed but only half way. It was a pushed in dent with paint missing. They fixed the dent but didn't bother paint it. The car is black paint, very easily found and used on cars. Again, with a week being gone they couldn't even do that? Next is the blue link that the Hyundai came with and guess what? That doesn't work either and I told him to set it up for me when I picked it up and I didn't get help at all. All I was told was to call the number for blue link. Also, they couldn't even give me the cars manual because they had to clue where it was and since they did not show me anything at the dealership, I have to figure everything myself. I worked at a dealership for over 8yrs and I know great customer service and this place is far from it. I would recommend no one buying a car from here so just stay away and look for way better dealerships in the area because this is not the one. More
