We purchased a vehicle with problems that led the dealership to agree to an even trade under its Berman Promise. What followed was an exhausting process of scrutinizing paperwork, questioning discrepancies, and pushing back on attempts to claw back value or transfer things on unequal terms. An “even trade” should not require customers to fight to keep it even. This was a pattern throughout both the original purchase and the replacement: reassuring conversations followed by unexpected turns when it was time to sign. When the paperwork repeatedly requires you to revisit what you thought had already been agreed upon, the friendly demeanor loses its charm. Thankfully, we understand the math and paid close attention. I worry about what a customer might accept if they trusted the explanation without checking every number. You should not need to audit a dealership’s work to make sure its promises survive the trip to the signing table. The Berman Promise helped get us a replacement vehicle. The way this dealership handled that promise destroyed our trust. Buyer beware. Read every line, check every calculation, and get every commitment in writing. A pleasant conversation means very little when the paperwork tells a different story. More

Berman promise a thousand dollar useless mark up. No deals to be had, they insert unasked for services and warranties. They will not explain anything to you if you ask them, it is bad experience.
