The dealership has a $7,000 mark up on all new vehicles, that is not on their price on their website or car gurus. Was about ready to purchase and then they told me there was a $7,000 mark up. The worst place I have ever had to deal with. VERY VERY dishonest people at this dealership. I had been talking to JJ for about a week about a white 2019 Fusion. He told me the car was at ford getting rec dishonest people at this dealership. I had been talking to JJ for about a week about a white 2019 Fusion. He told me the car was at ford getting recalls done and would be back the following day. I got a call the next day saying it was back, he said everything looked good so I was good to go. I asked him about something I found on a VIN site that said all these issues with the car. He told me to send him the site so I did then he calls me back and says he couldn’t get on it was making him pay which was not true because it’s a free site. He asked what the complaints said I told him.1 was check engine light He then said no I don’t know what your talking about that can’t be this car. I also pulled my own car fax on the car and this is what it said Failure! The information in your report has been altered since the time it was submitted to VINchain. You should NOT trust the purchased vehicle history report. At this point I should of trusted my gut feeling. But I told him I would be there first thing Saturday morning. Mind you I was driving 9.5 hrs to get this car and he knew this. So I drove straight through. When I got there we took it out for a test drive and it just didn’t seem right. The transmission was slipping into 2nd and 3rd I asked him what they did at the ford dealership when they took it in. He then tells me they put a new turbo in. What happened to the recalls?? The whole time driving this car I didn’t feel right but I was so tired from driving all night I just wanted to get it done. So I went back to do paperwork with Jacob. After he found out I was not going through them for financing his tune changed and was rude. We left, got about a half hour away and I lost all power and the check engine light came on. I tried call JJ no answer so I call the main number no answer. About 3 minutes later I get a call from someone at the dealership I told them what was going on and he says yep, I knew it, I said you knew what?? Then he says never mind. I said noooo never mind what???? He says to just bring the car back. So that’s what I did. On our way back we find a sheet in the glove box on what the ford dealership did to the car which was wayyy more then what JJ told me. I got my check back. When we were transferring all my stuff back to the car we drove down, a salesman told me how sorry he was that I had to drive all that way for a lemon. He said he refused sell that car because of of all the issues they have and are having with it. So the comments I found on that other VIN site were all correct, AND was about that car they were selling me. JJ totally lied to me just to sell this car. Please avoid this place and find some place that does want your business. Check and double check before you make the mistake I did. Don’t even bother with this place. More
Inflated pricing way over MSRP. I called on 10/01/21, about a 2022 Hyundai Sante Fe Limited AWD, Shimmering Silver, and black interior. It was shown to be in transit to their dealership. I was ready to drive to Jefferson City, MO to buy it. The salesman informed me the price was going to be $5000 over MSRP. I told him I could do that. He said he would get back to me after he talked with his manager. Apparently, he called back and talked to my wife. He told her would still need to pay a fee, at which time she told him we wouldn't be interested. I then contacted the Wentzville salesman I had been working with. I told him the situation and he told me that was not their practice and they sold their cars at MSRP. I asked him if he could try to get the 2022 Hyundai Sante Fe Limited AWD, Shimmering Silver, and black interior, but apparently, he couldn't. I had been looking for the exact car they were receiving for quite some time. I realize there are limited supplies due to the lack of chips. It is upsetting that this guy tried to hustle me. More
I am a first time buyer who went in at the middle of the afternoon with no intention to purchase a car, but decided to purchase one after a test drive. Keith started off very friendly, but that wore off aft afternoon with no intention to purchase a car, but decided to purchase one after a test drive. Keith started off very friendly, but that wore off after about an hour. Towards the end, it was very evident to me that he did not want to be there anymore. As someone who has worked in customer service, it is never okay to give off that kind of energy to a customer. I would have been willing to put down a deposit and return another day to purchase the car, but that was never suggested. Keith, it seemed like you've been working there for a while; don't act like this was the first time you ever had to stay after close. I felt very patronized when I told him what I wanted to put down as a down payment, and he thought I was joking. Also when he asked what I did for a career his response was a very sarcastic, "That's what you do?" When I asked him about interest rates he said, "I wish you would have asked me about that sooner." I literally had no idea what I was doing, and at this point, he hadn't mentioned interest either. He also told me, "You'll never qualify for the lowest interest rate. FICO credit scores are all made up." Lo and behold, guess who qualified for the lowest interest rate offered. If you are a first time car buyer who is looking to be patronized and blatantly insulted, Keith is your guy. On the other hand, James Sullivan was the best. He explained everything to me very clearly, and was very detailed. He was very understanding, and helped me understand the process. When questions do arise, James is always very helpful. The dealership is very lucky to have him on the team. More
