2016 Sonata phenominal MPG I was pleased with all aspects of my recent purchase of a new Sonata on May 6, 2016 - it has a smooth and quiet road ride - and the best thing I espec I was pleased with all aspects of my recent purchase of a new Sonata on May 6, 2016 - it has a smooth and quiet road ride - and the best thing I especially liked was the highway mpg - I made a trip out of town the week-end after purchasing it - on the return trip I set the driving mode to ECO and topped off the gas fill-up - the total miles driven was 258 with 185 miles driven on an Interstate with cruise set at 70 mph - the remaining 73 miles was on 2 lane roads running 55 - 60 mph - the car mpg read out showed 40.2 mpg when I pulled into the gas station upon returning home - I again topped off the gas fill-up and it required 6.4 gallons - which was a GREAT 40.3 mpg - so the car read out was essentially the same as the actual mpg - and it exceeded the highway estimated 38 mpg which really surprised me !! Have not driven enough in-town to know what the mpg will actually be - but I expect it to be Great also!! More
