I love elantras and my old dealership, Fairfax Hyundai, really let me down this time in terms of its sales customer service . That's when I found Salesman Matt Smith, at Chantilly who was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly without being pushy. He explained all the new changes and options for 2017 on a thorough test drive and patiently answered every question. He helped me negotiate a good price and has followed up with me after the sale. Very glad I had the good fortune to have him as my sales person--this is the guy to go to if you want someone helpful without being too aggressive --which no one likes! More
Dad approved As a single woman I have always done my car buying with my dad. Even my older brother seeks his input on these matters because he's a good negotiator. First, thee sales person was great about letting me take the car where I wanted on the test drive and not just a 3 turn circle near the dealership, so I got to make sure it fit in the garage and get up to speed on some major roads. The haggling of car buying can be frustrating, but after the sales person's second trip into the manager during the numbers. the manager came out and all parties had a candid discussion to reach a deal. The dealership wasn't too busy at that day and time, thankfully, but that is exactly what should happen to avoid giving customers feeling they are getting the run around. The sales person also went above and beyond with hospitality because it got late into the afternoon and evening and he ordered food to be delivered at their expense and offered us drinks that did not require us pay for a public vending machine. We really appreciated that and it shows that the sales team knows how to show appreciation that there are many other stores customers can go to. They couldn't come close to another offer on my other vehicle, so we had to drive it over to another location to complete the sale. The sales person followed us so we did not have to Uber back to the dealership, which was great. After the fact. it occurred to me that he should have taken another vehicle to prevent any risk to my new one before delivery and less mileage. Overall we were treated well and my dad is hard on sales people and this process to get the deal, and we were happy with the end result. More
