Turrible / Besides Richard There were several problems during my sale which should've all been red flags and stopped me from my purchase but I did it anyways. 1st Issue: Richa There were several problems during my sale which should've all been red flags and stopped me from my purchase but I did it anyways. 1st Issue: Richard did not know the difference between the Tucson 2017 SE Plus and Limited trim. He initially provided me incorrect information, alternative facts if you will. After I pulled up specific pictures which rebuffed his very confident statements he ended up (per my request/insistence) looking up the differences online via Hyundai.com. He stated nobody had ever asked him that question before. 2nd Issue: I asked for the lease breakdown for three trim levels. I was made to seem unreasonable from the sales manager for this request. I had to be on the verge of walking out the door (twice) to get these price quotes. Simple request. It is my money, I'd like to see my options. Don't make it seem like a "favor" providing the prices. In sales you provide prices. If it takes you 30 minutes I will wait, because this purchase affects me for 1,576,800 minutes (3 YRs) so I have the time. 3rd Issue: I was sold a 2017 Limited Tucson 1.6T. I purchased the service package for 36K miles for my lease. I was told me vehicle was not a turbo, despite the badge on the rear of the vehicle. It took them three days to answer me (with me forcing a follow up every single day) about whether that impacted my service agreement. Turns out it did, on the "system" but not physically on my documentation. We'll see. The sales manager I spoke to made it seem like I was unreasonable stating that several instances of misinformation occurred. I am the customer, you already have my money, so you treat me with much lower quality of service and respect than if I hadn't spent money already? Don't tell me you'll call me back, if you're not going to. Set the right expectation. Thumbs down buddy. 4th Issue: I traded in my old vehicle on 8/19/2017. I had negative equity and a buy out amount of around $3,800. Low and behold, a week later on 8/27/2017, my automatic payment for my previous vehicle was drafted out of my account. I am now paying for a vehicle I no longer have. I called Hyundai Motor Finance and they stated no payment was made by the dealership. I then called the finance department on 8/27/2017 and was told my deal was fully funded and that the buyout should go through sometime that week. On 9/7/2017, I called HMF and the car has still not been bought out. I am now accruing interest and responsible for a vehicle that I haven't had for almost three weeks now. I called the dealership and they stated they sent the check, and the check was delivered. However HMF has told me they have not received any additional payments on the vehicle. Overall - the entire process was messy. Richard and John were both good guys with potential. I hold nothing against them. Professionally, as a person who's entire job is sales training, I have a huge problem with the way everything went down. If you don't know the product, do not lie to your customer. Tell the truth, apologize for not knowing, and find out the answer. I would not return to the dealership if I hadn't already purchased a service agreement. It is not worth the back and forth to get what I want as a consumer. Hopefully this message is taken in a constructive way and inspires changes with how the dealership is ran.
