Hyundai of Auburn did a LOF on our Mazda3 and forgot to install a new oil cartridge. ~6,000 miles later all but one quart of oil had evaporated from engine. Engine seized, needs new engine. Visited Hyundai of Auburn to discuss situation and the service manager (Greg Jones) was totally unprofessional and rude to my wife. Suggesting that the car was vandalized or the the owner did this intentionally to try and get a new vehicle out of the deal. GM Allgood was very difficult to initially locate and address the matter. He said he would followup but never did until I would followup with him. Later learned that Service Manager Jones had been "terminated," though I was told by Allgood it had nothing to do with his discussions with my wife. To this day GM Allgood never told me the results of his discussion with the former service manager (was my wife lying, etc.). Suggested help from Hyundai of Auburn included 1) finding a rebuilt engine ($2500+) and then installing it for us at no cost. I found better rebuilt engines for almost 1/2 the $2500 price. 2) locate a buyer who will buy it as is - that became a friend of the dealership who would pay $750 (Kelly value w/o engine problem $4000; tires alone worth $750). Needless to say, this dealership accepted no responsibility. GM Allgood stated "we can prove it as a fact that the oil cartridge was not put in." This oil cartridge sits inside (fully enclosed) another part. That part was totally intact, so what happened to the oil cartridge. Dissapointed, but far from surprised with this entire process. Slick Bill Allgood insisted he was not independent Hyundai dealer and warranty good with out prior 15,000 miles paper work Phone hyundaiusa warranty department and was told just the opposite.When confronted with Hyundaiusa warranty information Mr.Allgood,was not all good.I contacted Hyundaiusa Warrant Department and an agreement was reach. This agreement was handled by Sevice Department manager who is rude and intimadating.Shortly after an red engine light came on code p0300 misfire I could not tolorate the aggravation and rude behavior.Therewas a surge in the cluster(misfire)I was told to return in 3 days it most likely a loose wire I was told by the manager of the service department I took the auto to Carl Gregory's hyundai in Ga.and was told most of Hyundai Of Auburn come to C.G .Carl Gregory Hyundai service department was great.They fixed the problem.I own two Hyundai an Elantra I bought new at C.G and a 2007 Accent I purchased from Hyunda of Auburn and my next auto will be a Hyundai but not from Hyundai of Auburn More
