I would not recommend Hyundai of Asheville, even to my worst enemy. The overall duplicitousness and lack of accountability of the entire staff has left me completely floored. A year ago, I purchased a veh worst enemy. The overall duplicitousness and lack of accountability of the entire staff has left me completely floored. A year ago, I purchased a vehicle, after being told by the sales consultant that it was a “certified” pre owned, meaning that it came with additional warranties, etc. Fast forward to 6 months ago, my vehicle suffered a catastrophic engine failure, and the dealership first seemed as though they were willing to help, but almost immediately after bringing my car in for service and having the issue diagnosed, the passing of the buck began. I’ve attempted several times to get in contact with the GM of the dealership to discuss potential solutions, and have only been met with voicemail forwarding and receptionists whose attitudes could be described as untoward at best. At no point since taking my car in for diagnosis have I felt that I had anyone working in my best interest. I’ve reached out to Hyundai corporate for assistance, only to be told that my only option would be to take it up with the dealership GM, whom “is far too busy and pays people to take calls like these.” If dodging accountability were an olympic sport, Hyundai of Asheville would certainly bring home the gold medal. Let this be a warning to anyone shopping for a vehicle through this dealership: Don’t be surprised if they fail to honor any of their promises to you, or worse yet, a major problem occurs through no fault of your own and Hyundai of Asheville leaves you holding the bag. It’s glaringly obvious that Tom Hill, and his son, Billy for that matter, value profit far more than customer service, and they have no qualms about selling you a lemon and calling it a gold nugget. At this point, I’ve been left no other option than to contact my attorney and begin the process of a consumer protections suit against this dealership. There are myriad places in the Asheville area to buy a used car. I urge you not to make the same mistake I did. Please shop elsewhere. More
The Customer service was amazing, there were food and drinks provided upon arrival. The staff were all very friendly and made us feel comfortable. Do NOT , I repeat DO NOT do business with this dealership. They are predatory, dishonest, and do not back their customers. Ive called 5 times to managers, service people and have not received a ca dealership. They are predatory, dishonest, and do not back their customers. Ive called 5 times to managers, service people and have not received a call back. They lied to my face, and stole money for work they did not do. Went and got a second opinion and was told they are KNOWN for operating their business in this manner. I am in the works with talking to a reporter about this any many other claims of the same business practices. More
