Vehicle owners of a white Hyundai, BEWARE! I purchased my vehicle new in 2018. In March of 2023 the paint on top of the vehicle started to peel. I notified Hyundai of Asheville and was give I purchased my vehicle new in 2018. In March of 2023 the paint on top of the vehicle started to peel. I notified Hyundai of Asheville and was given no help or assistance what so ever. I took the vehicle to Hunter Hyundai and they were very helpful. They did research and found that there was an extended warranty due to a paint defect on the white vehicles. They contacted the body shop for me, contacted the Hyundai Corp, and my vehicle top was repainted under the extended warranty. Now lets move on to Sept, 2023 and the paint is now doing the same on my passenger door. Upon contacting Hyundai once again concerning this issue, I have been told the extended warranty due to the paint defect has now expired.. My vehicle has 61,000 miles and is five years old. With Hyundai knowing that there is a defect in the paint of white vehicles, the vehicle being just five years old, Hyundai should make the repair good and stand behind their product. They "PAINT" a great picture of the quality of the vehicle at the time of sell, they should stand behind the actual paint of the vehicle after purchase. i More
