It starts with the phone call to set up service at Hyundai in Newport, the friendly, courteous staff are always pleasent, knowledgable and very accomodating. The service department in Newport is by far the best experience I have ever had with a car dealership. The loaner car benefit is amazing & always available. They give you helpful tips on things about your car, for example they noticed a slight smell in the vents when they started up the car for the service call, so before I left with my car that afternoon, Brian came out to my car with me and showed me very simply how to take car of that when I got home! Service is always quick and professional, the car is clean and they even put a bottle of cold spring water and a cookie in the car after every call. I tell eeryone about the exceptional service that I have from Hyundai Newport and they are amazed. My boss actually bought a Sonata 1 month before me in Attleboro and he wishes that the courtesy loaner was an option for him, since he has to leave the car and get a ride with every service call. I went to other car dealerships originally and looked at other types of cars. One place was very pushy, they only wanted to move the product and didn't care about the customer. Another place was dragging their feet over finance approval. I went to Hyundai of Newport to look at the 2013 Sonata and 2013 Tuscon. I had to leave to go pick up my husband from work so we could look at cars together. When I was leaving the lot I saw a 2005 Lexus. Fell in love with it. This place is so laid back, we felt so comfortable there! David took me on a tour of the whole dealership, from the sales floor, to the parts department, to the service bays. Steve, the finance manager, was also very friendly. Not like other finance managers at other car places. He has a job to do, but makes you feel comfortable, he's not stuffy like other finance managers at other car places. When we came to pick up the vehicle they put a bottle of water in the car and a cookie wrapped up with a note saying "Thank You". It may not sound like wine and cheese, but no other car place I've been to has done that when we've purchased a car. Everybody at this place is so nice, and I'm not just saying that. They're like one big happy family and you feel like you're part of their family, too. As long as the people I've dealt with here are still here the next time I purchase a car, I am definitely going here! More

They are on top of all service issues, they take time to explain clearly and succinctly what needs to be done (which with a Hyundai is always routine maintenance) and the charge is always much less than I expect. Any car dealership and service department could learn a lot by coming to Hyundai of Newport and seeing how they treat their customers. Why can't all dealerships be like them? More
While traveling from NH to Rhode Island, an indicator light came on signifying low tire pressure. We stopped to put air in but it didn't help at all. When we arrived in Newport, RI we pulled into the Hyundai garage. A nice gentleman from the sales end came out to greet us even before we parked, and asked with a smile on his face how he could assist us. He IMMEDIATELY got us into Service and they took the car right in. While waiting, which didn't take long, they offered us coffee, water and candy and the sales gentleman sat and conversed with us. The whole department was wonderful. They also took care of a recall problem that they were notified about that morning. We were super impressed with this as they didn't even have to tell us about it, never mind fix it, as there was no charge involved. How impressive in this day and age. We were there approximately half an hour and our car was ready. The service gentleman took us to the car, opened the doors for us and thanked us so much for using the Hyundai garage. When we got into the car, they had left us a cold bottle of water and a big chocolate chip cookie. Nicest garage we have ever dealt with.......they informed us that a nail was in our tire creating air loss, and showed us the nail. The cost was $15. What a relief, the problem was fixed and at an inexpensive charge. We felt blessed, and you should also knowing that this Hyundai garage is wonderful. Thank you for asking our opinion. A humming noise was coming from the right front wheel well. Though a repair could not be done that Saturday PM. Bryan got me a diagnoses and communicated to my local dealer to secure the part. This sped up the repair for early the following week. Also my car was registered for the fuel reinbursement program. Bryan was attentive and interested in my satisfaction as if I was a local customer. I appreciated this and believe this is the type of customer service that reflects well on the entire brand. More
