BAD experience for a first time brand new customer! BAD experience for a first time brand new customer! Simply rude and unprofessional! I dealt with "ART LEE" at the internet sales department thr BAD experience for a first time brand new customer! Simply rude and unprofessional! I dealt with "ART LEE" at the internet sales department through email mostly but did talk to him once on the phone as well. So, I got a quote from Art Lee via email. The quote was an OK price and nothing to die for. Anyways, I responded back right away saying that I will be coming in the weekend and asked him for different things like; send inside and outside pictures of the car, about 1 of the rebates to explain where it is coming from since I do not see it at Hyundai official website, and also that rebates are going to expire when I come so if he has any knowledge for extension or a better deal to take over etc. My questions and request were all nicely itemized and clear for an easy understanding and prompt to the point response. Here is what I got in response which I am quoting directly from his email; "it is possible to send pictures of the car" = Didn't I ask to send me the pictures and not if it is possible or not, HELLO! "The Auto Show rebate started today and it is $500" = Well, what I wanted to see is where is this rebate coming from? What is the explanation and/or qualification of this rebate etc.? All I got was the same repeated information! For my rebate extension and any better upcoming offer, he responded for only 1 rebate & then told me that he doesn't know on any upcoming better future deal. As you can see right at this point that his response was not complete & vague in some cases. Ok, now I responded back by itemizing all rebates related questions that I will qualify for including recent college graduate. Among my rebates questions, I clearly asked if these rebates are instant or mail in. Also, I clearly mentioned the rebates total amount I should get from my understanding, again, including recent college graduate. I also made my offer which was only 379 away from his offer. His response; ".......when you are ready to buy I will at that time inform you of the incentives that are applicable at that time" = Didn't I already mentioned that I am ready to buy? In fact, want to come over the weekend? What else do I have to say to him to understand that I am ready to buy! Nothing was mentioned about my instant or mail in question. Nothing was mentioned about my total rebates amount, whether I am correct or not with my understanding and calculation. Waste of my email. On top, he declined my offer & stated that the car has been sold already. I responded back saying, again, that I will be coming from far, so want to know all the information before hand to make my trip quick, efficient, and without any surprises. I also told him that this will help him also as I don't have to bug him with my questions when I come over. I asked him when the next inventory is coming in and if he can get the car from the other dealer then what will be the price for me. He responded back saying he doesn't know the next shipment date & never bothered to tell me the price if he has to transfer the car from the other dealer. He also told me that he will send me the price shortly for the preferred package one. After almost 24 hrs of not receiving anything, I reminded him about the price from the other dealer. Now all of a sudden, I got a response back that he has the initial car in stock now! WHAT? I thought he doesn't know when is the next shipment coming in & now he has the car in less than 24 hrs!? Here is the unhappiest part of his email - the price; it was $800 more than his initial quoted one. Even though the MSRP is exactly the same! I also received his email in 3 pieces. Why he can't mention in the previous email that there will be a follow up email shortly? Simple basics of professional customer service! Anyways, I got really confused and decided to call him. I told him on the phone about the price discrepancy and he told me that it is the correct price. He told me that the price he initially quoted me on was only valid until Friday. So now I have to deal with this new price if I am coming over the weekend! WHAT! This was not the only bummer, I asked him about the recent college graduate rebate question and he responded that I will qualify for but has to pay a very high APR! I also heard his "frustrated deep breaths" when I was asking him questions. WoW! What a bummer for me! Why he never bothered to tell me that his initial price will expire on Friday, when in fact, I was keep telling him from day 1 that I will come over on the weekend! Also, why never bothered to tell me about the high APR if I go with recent college rebate when I clearly asked to clarify for any rebates misunderstanding I had! Had I was informed properly, I would have make job adjustment and gone on Friday to grab the deal! Unfortunately, my time was wasted because of ART carelessness & attitude! On top, there was no genuine apology either! More

This was our second time purchasing a Hyundai Sonata Limited at this dealership. We were in an accident that totaled our car so we needed another vehicle right away. Art found me a Veloster equipped the way I wanted, in the color I wanted in less than 2-weeks. Didn't deal on the price because of the rarity of the color, MSRP was all we could do, but that seemed fair. color I wanted in less than 2-weeks. Though I did learn at the dealer that Hyundai had been inflating their mileage claims, my car went from 38 MPG hwy to 35 MPG hwy, and will cost me more at the pump than originally anticipated. Happy with the car so far, Art is a fair dealer. More
We knew what car we wanted and after many hours of comparative research we made a decision to work with IE Hyundai. We made contact on Wednesday and by Thursday our car was in our possession - delivered in perfect condition and in person by Art. When we were ready to purchase the car, we were sent away to go eat dinner and come back. Art was too busy. Also, worst of all, our new car was driven from La Puente dealer in record time. The man delivered our new car to the parking lot at Loma Linda, brakes burning and smelling, he had the audacity to be funny and "slolem race" it into the driveway like it was some kind of a joke. It was very upsetting and maddening that this delivery guy would be so disrespectful with our brand new car. I'm sure he did not follow the "breaking in" rules found in my manual. He had no respect for that. More
