They make you feel like you are the best customer they have until you get the car. First off they worked their butt off to get me the best deal they could making it all seem like they were miracle workers. But once I drove that car off the lot, they lost their customer service spirit. I had to bring the car (Chevy Cruze) back within 3 months because the anti-freeze was leaking which cause the car to run hot. The brakes would jam so by this time I had been in 2 incidents where I could have been in major accidents with my kids in the car. I called to inform the dealership of this. The salesman who sold me the car, basically tried to say what was going on with the car was my fault. Then hung up on me. I had to get my boyfriend involved which scared him silly. Then once they got the car to look at it, they tried to make me pay $500 to get the car repaired. This is my 3rd month of owning the car. Are you serious?? So they managed a way and I paid my $100 deductible, which I still don’t feel is right. Fast forward to an year later. Now the turbo is bad, the water pump is bad and the brakes that they claim was fixed is still not working properly. So I take it back to Pence Nissan, which Pence Kia does the service work. They basically tell me to take it to a Chevy dealership to get fixed. The Chevy dealership provided the best customer service and I recommend everyone see them if you are buying. The salesman was awesome because I was asking about trading in this piece of junk. The serviceman has been awesome, calling me back and keeping me updated and the manager even called and went to bat for me because I only had the car for a year and the turbo is bad which is a $1300 job and was able to get it down to a more affordable price. I called Pence spoke to the manager, gave him the situation, he over talked me, because told me well if chevy going to fix it, let them. I asked, but where is your customer service, I brought the car from you, he states well I need to see the car. Ok so if the car breaks down on my way there, now I have to put out money for towing and it’s not a guarantee you will help me. He said pretty much. O really!! I’m not look for anything for free, I’m just looking to be treated fairly. So I just advise if you are a woman, please do not go into this dealership without a man by your side. And please check out your car before you sign your name to it because their technicians will put a stamp of approval on it for sale as long as it starts and appear to work. More

easily the worst car buying experience of my life *** the service departments' hours are more of a suggestion than reality.... ***two times I have gone there only to find they were closed before th *** the service departments' hours are more of a suggestion than reality.... ***two times I have gone there only to find they were closed before the posted hours *** service department had 48 hours notice to arrange a rental car for me....arrangements were never made by service dept----yet another wasted trip & wasted time *** spent 30 minutes at dealership looking for help after new purchase, made eye contact with at least 4 employees and was ignored for over 20 minutes *** NUMEROUS unreturned calls (in the rare event you a person to answer & not a voice mail----calls are still not returned) *** very unenthusiastic employees that give the impression they don't enjoy being there **** still have unresolved issue in trying to get ALL paperwork/warranty info from dealership ***a lot of pressure (not from my salesman) to sell/pitch 'add-on' packages after agreement on price of the car More

Service Dept the worst EVER Pence sales dept I would give five stars very helpful, In the beginning I thought that the service dept. was pretty good until my blue tooth stopped w Pence sales dept I would give five stars very helpful, In the beginning I thought that the service dept. was pretty good until my blue tooth stopped working I call service to tell them (Damien) and without even telling me to bring it in he decided to tell me it was because of my iphone I accepted that for about a month or two and its like this is a new car and I'm still making payments and I should be able to use features that I'm paying for went over to sales talked with two different salesmen who both told me they never heard of such. I was taken to managers in sales they asked if I had warranty and I did told me to tell service to put in a new radio went back Damien told me that it was my iphone and that giving me a new radio wouldn't help. I went back to sales two different salesmen tried to pair their phones with my blue tooth and it wouldn't work. One of the salesmen escorted me back to service and we talked to a different service tech he went to back and bought Mr Cullen Lumpkin out, Cullen called salesmen to the side showed him some xx on computer salesman listen I asked salesman what would be my next step he told me to call corporate I did young lady put technician on phone with me who had me try to pair my phone while he was listening after about three tries he informed me it was the radio and not the phone he got in touch with district manager she got in touch with service I waited about a week and half they made no attempt to get in touch with me when I called Cullen I said that I had waited for him to get in touch with me he said "I didn't know that I was supposed to get in touch with you" after that he made small talk like he was actually going to try and do something but he did nothing. I went to dealership Friday after thanksgiving talked to manager over in sales he went over to service Cullen wasn't there so Damien lied and said that they had attempted to call. On this day I was given an Tuesday Nov. 29,2016 and just like I thought they didn't fix it was given another ration of xx called service on the 27th of Jan asked if why I hadn't been called and given an update Damien told me in a not so friendly voice that there was nothing to tell me because corp hadn't told them anything, hung up called corp was given a new case # and informed that Delisa would give me a call on 30th of Jan (2017) and she did stated that she would get in touch with service to get them to call me within two days and that she would follow up service did not call at all on Feb 2 2017 Delisa assistant called to see if I had been given an appt. I told her no and that I did not want Pence service dept to touch my car ever again, Delisa called me on the 6th of Feb. her assistant had informed her that I did not want to go back to Pence but instead I wanted to try Priority in Chester she called them and Priority called me on the 7th of Feb and I was given an appt.for the 9th and guess what within an hour and a half they told me what I already knew that it was my RADIO so I will take this time to thank Sales and Corp but your service dept. SUCKS More
Showroom Behavior I visited your showroom on Wednesday and was not very happy. My salesperson was not very knowledgeable about the product, but I could have gotten past I visited your showroom on Wednesday and was not very happy. My salesperson was not very knowledgeable about the product, but I could have gotten past it. The part the made my husband and I was the office behind where were sitting. I know there were about 5 young men sitting in the office and I don't know what was being watched, but they were loud and some profanity was being used and couldn't hear what my salesperson was saying. Also, my salesperson was pushy and seemed to be annoyed when weren't buying. Then what took the cake they were pretending to play basketball with trash and were aiming at the trash can in the office we were in. When you have a more mature staff we will come back or when they behave like adults. More
Service Advisor Rich My wife's Sales experience was spectacular, she had scheduled an appointment with Jevon Goodman on August 24th to bring her car in on Sept 1st. Anyway My wife's Sales experience was spectacular, she had scheduled an appointment with Jevon Goodman on August 24th to bring her car in on Sept 1st. Anyway she came a day early and just walked your lot and ended making a purchase. Well on Friday she came in to get her car cleaned and had to deal with Rich. My wife said she asked was Jevon.. Rich's response was "look we're doing things the right thing around here now" Jevon always had a smile and wasn't so serious. We are scheduled to have a Protection Package done next week after that we will not be using your Service Department after that. I have already complained to Nissan Consumer Affairs about this dealership. You all have lost one of the best Service Advisors because the rest of your Advisors have no personality. Also, tell your females that work there put some clothes on instead of looking trashy. More
Repeat Customer I'm so disappointed in how Pence has changed. This used to be a quality dealership. The morale of this dealership has changed. The sales staff is propably the most unprofessional group I have seen. I watched managers smoke and spit on the walkway. The profanity that was used in the prsence of customers was just ridiculous. The sad part is I talked to a former manager and his comment was this situation woukd be swept under the rug just like everything has in the past. To make a lobg story short I went to Nissan of Richmond and I must say it was like a breath of fresh air. Everyone looked professional no shorts or sneakers, clothes looked freshly laundered and pressed. Sorry Pence after buying cars from you for the last 20 years, I have to move on. I want to deal with professional talking and acting sales team. Hopefully your dealership will get back to the old ways, instead of money controlling people More
If I could give them negative stars I would I was in the market for a used car. I was overwhelmed by the options out there and the number of dealers around! I was told I should check out Pence. I had been conversing with another dealer about a car but I just wanted to make sure that I was getting a good deal and wanted to see my options. I applied online for a used Kia that was just under 10 grand. Then entered Matthew Fischer. We had a brief conversation about what I was interested in, my income ( I am self employed), and he said he would run the numbers and get back with me. Great! I heard from him the next morning and he tells me that he got me approved for a NEW Nissan versa note. Something I did not ask him or want him to do. When I told him the payments were too high he replied with I figured, you were looking at a used car. Then why would you apply for that one for me when I had no intention of purchasing it? Turns out that was not the reason he was calling, he was calling for more specifics about my income. I told him what my monthly income was on my bank statements and he said that he would put those in and would call me later. Later that afternoon he called me back, he told me I was approved and then paused as though he wanted praise for doing me a favor. I asked him what the payment was and he told me, then told me the rate I received. I asked about the length of the loan and he responded with, " Oh I don't know..60 months probably." Then I asked about extended warranties- to which he had no information on whatsoever. He told me it was hard to talk about this over the phone, which is not true I had been dealing with the other dealership exclusively through emails and the phone since they were over an hour away. I thanked him for the time he took to put the information together and that I was exploring my options. He replied with things such as "someone asked about this car just today and we told them it was sold" and "you wont find another car for this price." I responded with that simply being untrue, I had found another that was cheaper he mumbled something about them being out there. I again thanked him and let him know that I would contact them if I found I wanted to see the car in person. Later in the evening I received an email from a lady asking if this email was good for me and a contact number to be reached. I sent her an email back stating that I had already spoken with someone and barely got the information I needed and that I was going with another dealer thank you. I then received this email from Matthew Fischer himself; Just barely. Really. you can't prove your income and got you a 6.99 rate. That is without nproving anything. good luck with your ventures. I then responded with an email to him, his gm and the service manager in regards to how incredible unprofessional his email was and that the rate I received with the other bank was less-again thinking he was doing me a favor. Also noted that we had not gotten far enough in this venture for me to need to provide him with any tangible information. Please, please pick another dealership. They are unprofessional, lacking knowledge and clearly do not care about customer service whatsoever. Oh, and to those who have less than perfect credit, they will run your credit by 9-10 different banks. More
