Tony was a great salesman, explained everything so that we could understand our options, value and gave us suggestions on how to help our credit scores. We look forward to a friendly relationship with Hya we could understand our options, value and gave us suggestions on how to help our credit scores. We look forward to a friendly relationship with Hyannis Honda. We were very pleased and most likely buy another Honda. More
I needed to buy a car urgently because I had injured my leg and could no longer drive my Matrix, which had a standard transmission (stick shift.) Scott was very helpful and considerate, and recommended a c leg and could no longer drive my Matrix, which had a standard transmission (stick shift.) Scott was very helpful and considerate, and recommended a car ideal for my needs. All the staff of the dealership were extraordinarily adept at getting me back on the road as promptly as possible and made the experience a pleasure. I would strongly recommend to anyone looking to purchase an auto in this area seek out Scott McCracken at Hyannis Honda. They can expect to be happy with the sales experience and with the car. More
I came to this dealership last July because of a previous positive experience. I intended to purchase a dark blue 2010 or 2011 Honda Pilot. After much "ado" about getting a car with this color, the salesma positive experience. I intended to purchase a dark blue 2010 or 2011 Honda Pilot. After much "ado" about getting a car with this color, the salesman assured me that he had located a blue Pilot and would have it on the lot in a day or two. I wanted "running boards" on the car and he said they would be installed before I came in to pick up the car. He called to say the car was in and wanted me to come down to discuss the type of step I wanted installed. When I went to the dealership, not only was the meeting NOT about the installation, but more importantly, he was unable to obtain the car I wanted AND the one he said he had in hand! I was furious. He tried to sell me a gray Pilot. I did not want it. I was very specific about what I wanted and if he could not accommodate me, he should have said so at the outset! Talk about bait and switch! My nephew directed me to Prime Honda in West Roxbury. I called. Told them of my experience. They got exactly what I wanted. I drove up. The car was ready. I did a financing deal and drove the new car back within 3 hours. I have since sent two other people to this dealership who have purchased cars. I will go to Hyannis Honda to service this new car. I have always been happy with their service. However, I will never, never go back to purchase a car. And, I will never recommend it to any of my friends. More
Daniel DeDoming was the first person I met during the first day of what I intended to be a long shopping experience. I needed a new car for under $25,000, and I was going to be very picky. I was, but the first day of what I intended to be a long shopping experience. I needed a new car for under $25,000, and I was going to be very picky. I was, but the process ended on that first day because I was showed all of what the competition had to offer, and given a balanced comparison to an Accord. The salesperson was certainly partial to Honda, but through the explanation, so was I. I am very happy with my car and will highly recommend Hyannis Honda to anybody in the market for a good, safe price. More

We had not purchased a new car for many years. After test driving several vehicles of different brands from other dealers, we came very close to a decision, but we had not yet checked out Honda. We kne test driving several vehicles of different brands from other dealers, we came very close to a decision, but we had not yet checked out Honda. We knew from Consumer Reports that Honda had very high ratings for safety and reliability, and although we had not put it on our initial list, we thought we should give it a look before making our decision. Sooo, we drove to Hyannis Honda to see what Honda's were like. We had already been impressed by the professionalism and knowledge of the salespeople we met at various dealers, but none was more knowledgeable, or more helpful than Scott McCracken at Hyannis Honda. We had a pretty good idea of what we wanted for type of car and features, but Scott helped us to zero in a model that came closest to our needs, a Honda CR-V. After test driving a couple of Honda models, we were convinced that the CR-V was the car for us, and with only a little haggling on price we closed on the purchase that same afternoon. We told Scott that we needed the car in just a few days to be able to take it on a trip we had planned, and he took care of prep, registration, contact with our insurance agent, inspection - everything that needed to be done for us to meet our schedule. We have told all of our friends who will listen to us that this was the best buying experience we have ever had - with the help of Scott McCracken at Hyannis Honda. More
With the price of gas going up, I was interested in buying a more economical vehicle. I had a Honda Element, a great vehicle, but didn't need as much hauling capacity, so I went looking. I have had 4 buying a more economical vehicle. I had a Honda Element, a great vehicle, but didn't need as much hauling capacity, so I went looking. I have had 4 Hondas previously, but thought I'd shop around. I checked out other dealers on-Cape, some in person, some on the internet--but none of the sales reps I dealt with followed through like Geoff. Two things I will admit, initially I was interested in another vehicle, elsewhere; and, I'm enough to try any sales rep's soul. Turning loose of $15-20,000 (my budget range)is not a snap for me. So I take a LONG time to reach a decision. Geoff called regularly to apprise me of vehicles Hyannis Honda had just taken on trade, or were possibly being considered at auction; I assumed my budget would only allow me to consider a used vehicle. By him keeping me aware of what was available, and his willingness to meet my criterion, it certainly steered me away from other dealers, and directly to Hyannis Honda. I mean, I know he's in sales, but he took my search seriously and went the distance. Well, to cut to the chase, I drove my NEW Honda Fit home today. Geoff worked with me to keep me within my budget range with the features I wanted. Hyannis Honda & Geoff will be the combination I'll go back to when it's time to look for another vehicle. P.S. I'm looking forward to adding my new Honda coffee mug to my current collection. More
I recently purchased a used Pilot from this dealership. The price was good, but the post sale experience has been very bad. Here is the full story: I had a very hard time negotiating with Boston area deal The price was good, but the post sale experience has been very bad. Here is the full story: I had a very hard time negotiating with Boston area dealers and even locating a used Pilot with my required features. I don't understand why dealers are so insistant that I visit them to get the best price. My time is valuable to me and if you, the dealer, can't quote me your best price over the phone I'm not going to waste my time to come visit you. Finally, I found a Pilot to meet my needs at Hyannis Honda. I live far away and asked in advance if the vehicle had any visible damage because I really did not want to be surprised upon visiting and potentially picking it up. Dan Dedoming assured me there was no visible damage and that the only scrapes he could find would not even show up on the camera. With this "assurance" I placed a deposit and was ready to come inspect and hopefully drive away the vehicle the next day. Well, it turns out they did not have a clear title yet, so even though the vehicle was listed for sale and they happily took my deposit, I had to wait another 5 days to come pick it up. Strike 1! Instead of going to get the vehicle on a convenient weekend, I had to take a half day, rush down to be there before 4:30pm on a Monday. When I arrived, the vehicle had some very obvious scrapes on the side view mirror and on the tailgate that were poorly touched up by hand. They could have easily been captured by a camera. Strike 2! Since I'd made the trek (1.5 hours), I felt duped as they were unwilling to reduce the price and were pushing that I HAD TO wrap up the deal in time to get inspection by 5pm so I could drive it home. That left me with a crummy feeling since I had been lied to by Dan and was now invested ($500 deposit and 3+ hours of traveling) more than I would have liked in the purchase to back out. Upon agreeing to the purchase, I then went to their service department at 4:50 to have the inspection done and to have a spare valet key made. Their service manager insisted they could not make the spare key in time (they close at 5) and that I would have to come back with the car and the key another time! Seriously?! I live almost 90 miles away! After arguing with him, he finally backed down and agreed to do it. He was done before 5pm anyway. After getting home with the vehicle, I contacted Dan and his sales manager Will to reiterate my dissatisfaction with the condition of the vehicle and the lie that Dan had told me. My bitterness was really compounding after a few days. They agreed that they would repaint the tailgate at their wholesale cost. Since then, I've tried 3 times to get Dan to tell me what that exact cost is, and he has gone radio silent. Go figure, they got their money, the vehicle is 90 miles away, they probably never expect to see me again. If you buy from Hyannis, make sure you get everything you want, in advance, in writing, before finalizing the sale and paying. They are just like any other car dealership. Warm and friendly to rope you in, then they disappear as soon as they have your money. UPDATE: Within 45 minutes of posting this review, Dan emailed me with a price quote for the paint repair. Not sure why my 3 email requests for the same info went unanswered, but I guess broadcasting your experience is the fastest way to get a response. Thank you Dan for noticing my dissatisfaction and following up. More
I had to take my car to Hyannis Honda for body work following an accident. Complicating my sutuation was the fact that I live on MV Iland and getting back and forth to the mainland in the summer can be following an accident. Complicating my sutuation was the fact that I live on MV Iland and getting back and forth to the mainland in the summer can be very difficult. Tom and his crew in thd body shop and office ( the nicest people I think I have ever dealt with !!) made it so much easier. They accomodated me when I needed a ride back to the ferry when I brought the car over to them. There was a further issue becasue the car needed more repair than the insurance company had initially authorized, so it took a little longer tp repair. The insurance company was also to come to Honda to do this authorization, but this was going to make my return to Hyannis much more complicated and lengthy given my "Island" situation. In any case, Tom took care of everything- made the calls to the insurance company, got back to me very quickly, and I got my car back and was dealyed any further ! Not only was the body work great, but they also washed and waxed it- the car looked brand new ! Thanks to Tom and his great team at Hyannis Honda ! More
