Very Poor Salesmanship Pretty much was thrown out buy the sales manager for questioning his invoice numbers. He made a bit of a spectacle out of it. Amazing experience I did my homework. Researched multiple vehicles by 3 dealerships: Ford, Honda, and Nissan. Test drove two midsized SUVs at each. Salesmen were very I did my homework. Researched multiple vehicles by 3 dealerships: Ford, Honda, and Nissan. Test drove two midsized SUVs at each. Salesmen were very professional. But i found the most helpful one was at Nissan. They offered me more for my trade-in, fantastic rebates and understood i was comparing vehicles before making a decision. I drove the Rogue and Murano. Left went to Honda and drove the CR-V EX-L and Pilot, I was coming out of a Ford Escape. My 4th from the same dealership. I was going to go Escape Titanium again but Ford still has major problem with their paint job. I loved the 5 year Corrosion warranty with Nissan and Honda. I chose Nissan because I fell in love with the Murano SL. I loved the exterior looks, Honda’s rear light design was funky to me. The interior dashboard area was very plain looking. Otherwise they had exact same features. The service, our sales guy Rick was fantastic, the finance manager, Tim and owner were so nice and knowledgeable. My overall impression was refreshing honesty. I highly recommend Huttig Nissan of Plattsburgh! More

She showed us 2 different cars that had the options we wanted. Took the time to break down the numbers for us in black and white and allowed us the time to discuss what we wanted to do. She was not hovering like you see in most dealerships. All the sales staff and other workers there were friendly and truly seems to enjoy being there. Once we chose which car we wanted it seemed like the entire staff were accomodating to ensure our buying experience was enjoyable. Jason is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and communicates promptly and professionally via email to answer any questions. It was time for me to trade in the car I had purchased from them two years prior, and I filled out an online inquiry for information about leasing or purchasing a Rogue. Jason got right back to me with the numbers and left the ball in my court. He didn’t put pressure on me with additional phone calls or follow-up emails, but he was there to answer my questions as they came up. The process couldn’t have been easier. I worked with Tim in finance because I chose to lease, and I really appreciated how thoroughly he explained the various coverage options, as well as other parts of the financial paperwork. His number one priority was to educate my husband and I about the “fine print” and to make sure we understood how everything worked so we could make informed decisions. His past experiences in similar jobs seem to have helped shape his view on how to best serve customers honestly and respectfully. He took a lot of time explaining things to us, and wanted to make sure that I would be happy at the end of my 3-year lease term, with no surprises or reasons to feel like I was deceived. He even calle and left a voicemail 30 minutes after we had left to make sure he had been through enough in his explanation of something in the paperwork. Based on what I have experienced with Huttig, Tim’s professionalism, honesty and demeanor are the perfect complement the culture of the business. It is clear that there is synergy among departments at Huttig, and that made me more confident as a customer making such a big financial commitment.
