I was told that I needed my left rear control arm replaced and it would cost $930.00. I was told that it would be okay to drive to New York and back, before I needed to address it. The trip went wel replaced and it would cost $930.00. I was told that it would be okay to drive to New York and back, before I needed to address it. The trip went well and on my return I decided to get a second opinion. A local dealer checked my car and told me there was nothing wrong with my control arm. He also added that I would not have been able to drive to New York in the first place if I had that issue. I had been charged $1500 a few months earlier on another issue, which I am questioning now. I really trusted these people, but I will never return to this location! I would suggest to anyone, get a second opinion! More

BUYER BEWARE! Another car dealer, another bait and switch. I recently contacted Huntsville Toyota (849 I-45 South, Huntsville, TX, 77340) (part of the Purdy Group) Another car dealer, another bait and switch. I recently contacted Huntsville Toyota (849 I-45 South, Huntsville, TX, 77340) (part of the Purdy Group) through Toyota’s SmartPath online purchasing system. Using SmartPath, you are supposed to be able to source cars in real time, and dealers that participate in SmartPath are supposed to provide “Best prices” and “No surprises,” at least according to Toyota’s website. I found a car via SmartPath at Huntsville Toyota. The website gave me a price and allowed me to start the purchase process online. The following morning, I received an email from Huntsville Toyota with the price and details of the vehicle I selected, and everything looked as described/promised. An hour and a half later, I received an email from Ean O’Lane, a sales consultant with Huntsville Toyota. In his email, there was a new and updated out-the-door price on the car I was attempting to purchase. The price had now increased by $1,000 with handwritten notes stating: “Window tint By MOA – Oil additive. - $1,000” I responded that “I am not paying $1,000 for window tint and an oil additive”. It should be noted that all but the front two windows come pre-tinted, so they wanted $1,000 to tint two windows and add an oil additive. Ean O’Lane responded with, “What will you pay for it? If I can get it to you at cost, will that work?” I responded with, “I don’t want or need either.” Ean O’Lane responded with, “We will be moving on to the next customer. Thank you for your time.” In short, they don’t want to honor the price they are advertising and aren’t going to sell the car unless they can tack on an additional $1,000. I would have given zero stars, if it were an option. More
