failure to install a remote starter I took my 2013 Elantra in Dec 2015 to install a remote starter and they charged me about $400. I subsequently took it in 5 times over the course of I took my 2013 Elantra in Dec 2015 to install a remote starter and they charged me about $400. I subsequently took it in 5 times over the course of the year because the starter would not work after a couple of days/weeks. By Dec 2016 they could not fix it and they removed it and refunded my money. But, they left me with no clickers to open/close the car and when I asked the service manager John Byers if I could speak to the general manager or the owner his response was: "absolutely NOT, I am the manager". Also, note when they installed the remote starter the car stopped beeping when opening/closing the door. They told me that was normal as I did not have an alarm in the car. In January 2017 I took the car to Advantage Hyundai in Hicksville and they installed a new remote starter. It works great AND the car beeps when opening/closing the doors. I have written and spoke to Hyundai USA about the incompetence and abnoxioousness of the dealership especially the service manager. I would recommend that you stay away using them for any repairs. More
