I live on Long Island, NY and have a place in Wellington, Fl. We routinely use our 2007 Element for road trips. It's probably the most comfortable long distance car on the road. Can drive for 20 hours str Fl. We routinely use our 2007 Element for road trips. It's probably the most comfortable long distance car on the road. Can drive for 20 hours straight without and aches or pains. We try to use Braman Honda in Fl for service (see my writeup.) For every problem that I have had with the E Huntington has let me down by not fixing anything and trying to nickle and dime the crap out of me. I had brought the E into Huntington Honda complaining about the AC. They told me all Es' have poor AC. Then about a year ago my son-in-law borrowed the E and complained about the AC. I told him that's the way it is supposed to work - he said bull! Anyway, my wife and I had sweltered our way into Fl and the E needed service. Went to Braman met with Ray Graham (Excellent Guy to work with) - he checked it out and about 3 hours later told me the car was ready. Seems there was a crushed O ring that happened at the factory. We now have the coldest air in the world. Went to Huntington Honda complaining about drive train noise. They charged me about $250 for differential oil and some other oil. I still had the noise. Next trip to Florida I went to Braman - Ray diagnosed the problem and it was fixed for $118.00. My tachometer stopped working - went to Huntington. They replaced a module that was under recall. I got in the car and the tach was not working. Told the service advisor and was told they have to diagnose the problem and would have to charge me. Drove to Fl (no not for that problem) and saw Ray. An hour later the tach was fixed - they replaced a sender unit at NO CHARGE - WARRANTY. I would not consider another Honda from Huntington. They screwed me on financing (my fault for not catching it), their service department stinks and I don't trust any of their salespeople. I recently had my E serviced at Atlantic Honda and they are much better than Huntington. More
Brought my 2004 Pilot to Huntington Honda for 60,000 mile service. After servicing the Pilot was pulling severely to the right. Prior to servicing by Huntington Honda there was no pulling at all. Went back 2 service. After servicing the Pilot was pulling severely to the right. Prior to servicing by Huntington Honda there was no pulling at all. Went back 2 weeks later (requiring another 1/2 day). Huntington Honda performed alignment. Vehicle still pulling severely to left. Huntington Honda service re-rotated tires. Vehicle now pulling sharply to the left. Subsequent calls to Huntington Honda Service Manager Jerome went un-returned. I am now left with an unstable dangerous Honda Pilot thanks to Huntington Honda. For the sake of full disclosure the 2 front tires are more worn than the rear. But prior to taking the car into Huntington Honda there was no pulling at all. They claim that all the tires are bad and no matter how they rotate them pulling is occurring. Based on my experience with Huntington Honda, the service "professionals" could care less about customer satisfaction and even less about their safety. I understand things can go wrong sometimes. But the thing that ticks me off most about this episode is Jerome the Service Manager didn't have the common courtesy to return my calls. I have purchased 2 cars from Huntington Honda. I wouldn't even think about buying from them again. More
Give credit where credit is due. I had a wonderful experience with the service department at Huntington Honda today. The staff was so efficient and courteous. I had made an appointment so when I arr experience with the service department at Huntington Honda today. The staff was so efficient and courteous. I had made an appointment so when I arrived with my car I dropped it off and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. They finished servicing the car in such a timely fashion and the quality of their service was excellent. I found the entire staff to be so friendly. I would highly recommend this dealership! More
My car is older, a 1997 Honda Prelude. Went in for some axles, tie rods, tires and an alignment in May. Now in October, the tires are worn to xxxx 10,000 miles later due to what my mechanic said was the wo axles, tie rods, tires and an alignment in May. Now in October, the tires are worn to xxxx 10,000 miles later due to what my mechanic said was the worst alignmnet he's ever seen. The toe wa -1.40, the factory specs should be -0.01-0.002. I've been calling for 3 days, but Jerome is being an a hole and not returning my phone calls, keeps saying I will get reimbursed for their mistakes. I'm still waiting. Crooks. More
huntington honda is great. i had a very good experience both times i was there the first time i dealt with alex . he helped me to understand why the check engine light was coming on in my honda accord, i both times i was there the first time i dealt with alex . he helped me to understand why the check engine light was coming on in my honda accord, i had to wait around but he got me out in alittle over an hour . he said that he had the part in stock that i needed and it was fixed right the first time, and it was not very expensive. The last time i was in, today i worked with greg for and "express" oil change . he got me in and out in 35 minutes and he even gave me a discount. Huntington honda is one of the best dealers in the area and the only place i will continue to have my car worked on. More
Bought a CRV 2003 and bought audio extras. Dealer took 11 hours to install them six of which I was kept wainting from 3PM to 9PM. During Finance negotiation, I asked Eric Sheriff (big crook in Finance) to ma hours to install them six of which I was kept wainting from 3PM to 9PM. During Finance negotiation, I asked Eric Sheriff (big crook in Finance) to mark paperwork that the price included installation of six premium speakers. They were NOT installed and Mike Fiere tried to give me a little box with three aerosol cans of Honda cleaning supplies. Difficult negotiations to get them to attache roof rack, running boards and a little thing on the back. I traded in the CRV (bad gas mileage) for an Accord. Finance guy - again Eric Sheriff added $500 to car sale price without telling me cause I did not buy any extras. New Accord had a scratched window and NO manual or XM radio documentation so they threw in a trunk tray. Went to the dealer for a rear window replacement because car was 10 months old and I wanted a genuine HONDA window. When the repair was finished, there was a horrible leak, staining the entire rear of the car and they did not put in a HONDA window. I had to complain like the wicked witch of the west to get the HONDA window and was only able to do this because the first window was so badly installed. The dealer was given my car insurance company and policy information and I called first so knew they would be paid. Due to some screw up by a guy named Jerome, the rear shop manager. they neglected to get themselves paid for the glass. My insurance company estimated the damage to $1,900. Huntington Honda replaced the inside panels that were stained but didn't fix the cuts on the leather set that the installer created. The service department failed to give my vehicle a 4 wheel alignment when the DMV requested this service. A DMV complaint was necessary to try to resolve some lingering mechanical issues after I went to the Huntington Honda preferred body repair shop V&J Auto Body in Lindenhurst, NY. Stay away from V&J as they were paid to replace a number of important mechanical parts Radiator, Alternator, condenser, hood liner and numerous other things they didn't do. John Cacciatore (like the chicken tomato sauce dish) is impossible liar willing to say anything to get the sales. If you can, stay away from Huntington Honda and also Babylon Honda. I have also bught from Smithtown Honda and from South Shore Honda. But I would be most grateful for a mail order Honda purchase cutting out the dealer completely since all they do is waste my time to xxxxxx my finances. I am ready and willing to participate in a news program or other testimony in aid of others with any need for information. More
I have bought two cars in three model years at Huntington Honda, both financed with the same Eric Sherriff. Buyers must play a careful game of cat and mouse or they will get ripped off. My first purchase was Honda, both financed with the same Eric Sherriff. Buyers must play a careful game of cat and mouse or they will get ripped off. My first purchase was a 2003 CRV which had a finance package that included charges for the premium speakers all around. Except that those speakers were included in the purchase price. Ahem, yes, they charged me for stuff included and previously installed from the factory. Then I traded in the 2003 CRV due to bad gas mileage; and bought a 2004 Accord 4Dr Ex sedan. Pickup of the car was delayed due to death of my fatherby ten days, and then it was not ready the day I arrived. Scratches on vehicle, no manual in glove box, to name a few problems. Stuck with loaner for a week waiting for corrections during which time they disconnected but failed to re-connect the XM radio trail period. When taken in for servicing a few months later I explained they had disconnected the XM radio, and XM could not turn on the trial period. Next thing I know, the XM people are sending me bills for all the time I had NO service due to their service department errors. A repair to rear tail light on Accord resulted in the body shop they sent it out to screwing up the paint so 75% car needed repainting. Now they cannot tall me why the car needs an alignment every month. Overall, all the service and sales employees act like BORG entities plugged in to a main brain designed to charm but cheat the customer out of money. True they have access to alot of inventory but if you look up LIA auto sales a HONDA parent company, maybe you can find another dealer without the organizational and integrity problems in Huntington Honda. People to avoid are Michael Fiere, Eric Sherriff, Jerome in Sales, Bob Carpenter in Sales, and especially Tony Luciano who will remind you he worked for NASA ages ago, and then digress into some tangental fact about the car that does not address your SAFETY or WARRANTY concerns. For some reason, everytime I take my Civic to be serviced at Huntington Honda, I leave with more problems than I arrived with. Three months ago I took the car in for a battery replacement, and my transmissio at Huntington Honda, I leave with more problems than I arrived with. Three months ago I took the car in for a battery replacement, and my transmission randomly "failed" when it was in their care. So I get a new transmission (thanks to MY warranty...not like the dealer accepted blame for breaking my car while it was in their care) and then all of a sudden I'm hearing funny noises in the front end. I take the car in for service again, and learn that there is suddenly $800 worth of damage done to my front end from hitting a pothole??? I left immediately and I will never go back. I did not have problems with my civic until I took it here for what was supposed to be "routine service." More
