We showed interest online and within minutes Christian Quinnones called to set up an appointment. He was polite and helpful. Upon arrival, Antonio Avelar was assigned to help us. He was courteous, polite, and very informative. He answered all of my questions and was able to help me choose the best car for me. Initially, I planned to buy a 2016 Civic LX but after Antonio showed me the different features and how much more I would be getting with an EX for only a slight price difference, I was sold. The test drive was great. Antonio chose a route that would expose me to potholes, hills, and things I would encounter in my daily commute. After informing Antonio that I lived in Smithtown but commute to the Bronx for work, he was able to point out the many features I would need to help make my commute more comfortable (side cameras, suspension, eco options, etc). Antonio did not waste our time with senseless haggling. We came in prepared with quotes offered at other Honda dealers. I told him that if Huntington could not match the price, I would be leaving. After speaking to his manager, he was able to match the quote. We were pleased that we did not have to deal with haggling or aggressive sale pitches. After informing him that I was a recent graduate, he was also able to explain Honda's grad program and the discounts associated with it. He was very knowledgeable and eager to address any concerns we had with the whole car buying process. When I informed him that I had a car to trade in, he was helpful explaining my options (trade in, transfer of plates, etc). I wasn't sure how car buying and registration worked in NY, being that I am new to New York and purchased my last car 13 years ago in California; however, Antonio was able to explain it all in a way that made me secure in my decision to trade in my old car, transfer my plates (which was very important to me, as I have disabled plates), and how to transfer auto insurance. When it came time to transfer insurance, there was an issue with Kemper. They were not open due to the holiday weekend. Antonio gave me my option of coming back Tuesday to complete the process or use new insurance company. To avoid a delay, I chose to use a new insurance company. Unfamiliar with many insurance companies in NY, Antonio helped me choose a company and complete the process. He walked me through it to ensure that I was not paying double for services (roadside assistance was being offered through my extended warranty with Honda and Progressive was asking if I would like to add this option). I feel like he went beyond what I expected to help me with this issue. When it came time to complete the financing component of the car buying process, the business manager Benjamin Cekovic, was every helpful. He was able to explain everything, complete the low APR associated with the recent graduate program that Honda offers, and answer questions as they came up. He explained the extended warranty thoroughly and stressed the importance of it in a way that did not make me feel forced into buying. He was helpful in choosing the add-ons (all weather mats, side molding, wheel locks, trunk mat, and tire guards) and was able to get it all installed same day. Overall, my experience was positive. I would definitely use Huntington Honda again and highly recommend it to my family and friends who are in the market for a new car. After having my last Honda for 13 years, and over 204,000 miles, with no major complications, I was set on buying another Honda. Driving over 20,000 miles a year requires me to have a good reliable car that is good on gas. I feel that Honda meets all of this. The only decision I had to make was what model and what dealer to use. I wasn't sure whether I would choose Nardy Honda or Huntington. I planned to walk out of Huntington if my needs weren't met, aggressive or senseless haggling was involved, or if customer service was poor. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Huntington met all of my expectations (and more!) and saved me from having to drive over to Nardy! More
