Two years later, I contacted Barry to purchase a new 2011 Honda Accord. After shopping the Internet, and finding the best price I could, I contacted Barry and asked if he could match it. He immediately responded to my email, telling me he could beat it. Minutes later, we chatted on the phone and closed the deal. He was a complete gentleman and very pleasant to work with. The next day, I visited him at the dealership, completed the paperwork, and drove away in my new Accord. I am very satisfied with the personal attention and customer care that Barry provided, and would recommend him to my family, friends, and colleagues. More
Great experience! I shopped at 3 different places to find the best deal. Two of the dealerships that I went to tried to add additional fees and charges after giving me prices on the phone that they would not the best deal. At Huntington Honda, I was given a price by a very nice girl named Shannon, came in and met Marc who did honor the price that I was given and I was driving my new car about an hour and a half later! It was easy and everyone that I dealt with there was friendly, professional and helpful. Often my past car buying experience was like going to the dentist. Not this time. If you are looking for a Honda, this is the place to go! More
I am always very skeptical of car dealers and Frank confirmed all my fears about buying a new car. This was the first car I bought without my father's help. I went in to buy a new Civic and was bomba confirmed all my fears about buying a new car. This was the first car I bought without my father's help. I went in to buy a new Civic and was bombarded by Frank the second I walked in the door. He didn't even let me take a quick look around before he pounced on me and began giving me the car dealer inquisition. He made me feel very uncomfortable. After the test drive we sat down told me an outrageous number for the civic I was looking at. He basically kept asking me what I wanted to pay for the car instead of telling me what kind of deal he could gave me. I left and took a peek at some other dealers and went back to Huntington Honda because I service my car there and I live in the area. I wound up buying the car from Frank because the manager came over and gave me a good price. I then sat down with the manager to review the deal and run my credit. He was friendly enough, a little pushy but I was told to expect that and I did want some of the things he suggested anyway. When I went to pick up my car Frank was dealing with another customer even though we had an appointment. It took 30+ minutes before he was done. He appeared to be flustered with the other customer and then it took a while for us to sign everything. When he took me to my car, it was a mess. There was mud splattered on it, grease marks on the doors and dust on the trunk. He did try to go over the car at length, but I was turned off at that point. The first thing I did was take my BRAND NEW CAR to the CAR WASH. Before I left Frank had the nerve to ask if I was happy with everything and asking me to give him a 100 mark when honda calls me. I didn't even mention anything to him because I had to get out of there. Oh well. I love my car, but frank basically summed up everything People hate about buying a new car. More
I had a very postive experience. This is the third car we have gotten fron this dealership. My husband and I would'nt think of going anywhere else. Even if we added the nav I was ready to work it out, but Barry and I did not hit it off for some reason. He was rude and obnoxious. Everything was an issue even the color he gave me a weird attitude. The tactic of having to give my Amex card in order for him to go to the Sales manager for a better deal who he told me was Dave and turned out to be Rob and then not give it back to me when I asked for my card back was pathetic. And then I had to go to Rob to get my card and had to demand its return for him was just unacceptable. My point was if the residual value of the car was 53% after the three year lease and the lease per month is calculated on the 47% why would I have to pay 100% of the additional nav fee….. I have contacted Honda US and I have a call set for Tuesday with a gentlemen by the name of John Brandecker, VP Customer Relations North Atlantic. I have purchased 6 Honda’s from Huntington Honda and wanted to buy another one, but I have to tell you Amy it was ugly and very unprofessional.. I had worked online with Amy who was very nice and accommodating. She gave me a price on a new cross tour ex 4wd. I got the price and was told Dave the manager would be waiting for me and we can sign the paper work and get the deal done. I went in to your store today and had the worst experience of my 50 plus years of buying anything from a salesmen/manager. It does look like Amy and I missed the nav in the 4wd ex crosstour so when I was given Barry the sales rep he told me the car would cost $55 more. I was not happy, but said ok lets split the diff and call it a day. Barry was really rude and out of line thru the entire process. Everything was a problem, a look a sigh so we then started the back and forth with Dave (it was really some guy named rob) back and forth. I asked to spilt the diff of the cost of the nav and call it a day. Barry started to give me a hard time telling me I am crazy blah blah blah and that he would try. Then it got really rude out out of line and really cements the dirty slimy reputation of a car sales man. He said he needed my credit card. I said lets cement the deal and then I will give you my card to pay for the fees. No I need your card so back and forth we went so I gave him my Amex. This was to show Rob I was serious. What a pathetic way of doing business. I told Barry don’t come back and tell me he’s going to take five bucks off because that would mean no deal. He came back pushed the offer sheet in front of me and said that’s the best and it was written in RED MARKER which meant final offer. I said no thanks and can I have my card back and call it a day. Barry refused. I said I want my card back please and Barry kept saying just sit down. Then I got angry. I said give me back my Amex now. He said no so I went up to "Rob" and he was holding on to my card and gave back to me and in the world of dirty sales rep/managers smiled and said good luck. How pathetic. I have owned five Honda’s from Huntington Honda and I was very happy I just bought a used one for my son from you about a year ago. Which made 6 cars from Huntington Honda. Honda's sell themselves. I find honest people are hard to come by these days and so I was very pleased to Kirk. He was able to answer all my questions and was honest with me. I would like to say that Mike Grimaldi is the reason I ended up leasing my 2011 Pilot from Huntington Honda. I have been leasing cars for many years, and working with Mike has been by far the best car exp ended up leasing my 2011 Pilot from Huntington Honda. I have been leasing cars for many years, and working with Mike has been by far the best car experience I have ever had. He was very to the point and did not play any games. His word was his word, and it never changed once. I am loving my Pilot, but I would have to say that the main reason I will be back to lease another car from Huntington Honda is to work with Mike again. Barry was very friendly, approached us soon after we walked through the doors. Explained everything in great detail and answered all our questions.
