My son and I had some minor issues with purchasing a car in the beginning of Jan. 2012. However, I just brushed it off as "a not very organized dealership".We are happy with the car. However our temp.reg.wa in the beginning of Jan. 2012. However, I just brushed it off as "a not very organized dealership".We are happy with the car. However our temp.reg.was due to expire in a few days and we had not yet recieved our reg. from motor vehicles. I was warned not to panic, when we bought the car because the reg. usually comes close to the expiration date of the temp. sticker. So I called the dealership a few days before the expiration date on the temp. reg. I was told I had to speak with my salesman, This is when the nightmare begins. I was given such a runaround and misinformation as to when he is in and not in. I left messages, but since he wasn't in when they said he was I had to keep calling back. Another salesman tried to help saying he gave it to the person whose responsible and that's all he could do. He did call me back and try to keep me a little updated but, I didn't get much info. Now all of a sudden my salesman is in I had to call again. I had to questions, why didn't we get the new reg and what to do about our reg that's due to expire. Two questions. After waiting hours, I get an answer to one question. It seems that there was a date discrepency with motor vehicles, so they sent the papers back to the dealer so my son s car never got registered. Really? A month and a half later you re telling me this? Where have the papers been all this time? So the salesman said they were fixing it. So, I ask my question#2 that is more pressing now, what about the reg. that s gonna expire in 3 days? He says he'll have to check. I called to speak with a manager who didn't bother to return my call. Now, it's 2 hours later and I'm stll waiting for an answer to my question and I know billing is closing soon, so, I call again and ask to speak to my salesman who is not avail., then ask to speak to the manager again who's also never available. When I told the receptionist that I wasn't leaving another voicemail and wanted to speak with a human, she asked my story and said I could call over to billing myself. Why did't anyone just do that before. I called billing and she said it will be resent to motor vehicles for the reg. and she will mail me a new temp reg for my son. So I'm waiting. We have one more day and then he can't drive the car. I would never purchase a vehicle from them again. I suppose if you don't have a problem, you might be ok, but if you do have a problem, thay don't care. They made their money already. More
Having seen an incentive ad for trade in's in the newspaper, my husband and I traveled to Huntington Honda West Certified to trade in our 1999 Honda Civic and purchase a used car. Alam Kabir, the sa newspaper, my husband and I traveled to Huntington Honda West Certified to trade in our 1999 Honda Civic and purchase a used car. Alam Kabir, the salesman who came out to help us as we looked through the lot, could not have been nicer or more professional. He worked with us to find a car to our liking, took the test drive with us and helped us to decide on a used Honda CRV. The problems started when the 99 Honda we drove into the lot with, was apprasied at $0. Huntington Honda was not willing to honor thier own ad that we walked in with! Despite that, Alam told us to make an offer on the car anyway. And so we did. Alam returned to us with the written offer, circled with a black sharpie and Marked "REALLY???" in capital letters. Apparantly when he brought the offer to Tom Ben...rather than coming over to discuss why this offer was not acceptable, he chose to insult us my ridiculing our offer. I asked to speak to Mr. Tom Ben so that we could show him how we arrived at that reasonable number. Mr. Ben could not have been more rude or abrasive. He stated my husband and I were uneducated and had no idea what we were talking about. He could not have insulted us more. I actually felt bad for Mr. Kasbir who was just as surprised as we were that someone wanting our business could talk to us that way. We tried to calm Mr. Tom Ben down but he raised his voice and became more insulting. We left, and will never do business with Huntington Honda. We presently have 3 Hondas in our family. We love the cars. We drove straight from your lot to Glenhead Honda a purchased a new 2012 Honda CRV..for not much more than the offer we presented to Mr. Tom Ben. Mr. Tom Ben should not be working with the public. He was rude, and disrespectful. A calm explanation ...discussion would have sufficed...in fact, had that happened, we probably would have went a little higher and bought the car. More
My saleswoman Ivy was not what I expected, not the typical sales experience. She was knowledgable, informative, beyond friendly, welcoming, and the complete opposite of any other sales person I've de typical sales experience. She was knowledgable, informative, beyond friendly, welcoming, and the complete opposite of any other sales person I've dealt with in any realm. After coming to a very attractive price on my new Civic (which I love) I then met Ben who handled my financial needs. He was more then informative in showing me all of my options that were within my budget. I would recommend this dealership as well as Ben and Ivy to anyone who is looking for a stress free, enjoyable car buying experience! More

After a big big ordeal The General Manager Ray Brown took control of the situation and processed a new 2012 CR-V transaction swiftly and professionally. This was the 3rd vehicle purchased from this dealership. My wife and I purchased a used 2006 Odyssey in 2009 My wife's parents purchased a new 2010 CR-V Initially my Mother purchased a used 2009 CR-V in Jan. 2012 but it was handled horribly and unprofessionally, but they ended up doing the right thing and she left very happy with a 2012 new CR-V in Feb. The previous 2 experiences went well overall, lacked attention to detail with two rust spots that I pointed out before purchase that I wanted touched up, but they did eventually take care of it. My inlaws had a good experience overall except for the non-negotiable tone for new Honda cars and the warranty associate was borderline rude to us. Georgia in finance and Andy were shockingly rude, and even obnoxious at times. They do not understand customer service and believe they can argue with their customers and bully them without repercussions. I will not do business with this dealership again. My Mother was eventually treated with the respect and professionalism that every customer deserves right from the start, and I am happy she is driving one of the best if not the best car brand on the road today, Honda. Most dealerships are questionable, Huntington Honda is capable of being much better, but not always. More

I went to trade a 2006 Odyssey which I purchased at Huntington Honda West, for a 2010 Odyssey and was hassled so bad to buy an extended warrantee that I had to walk away. I agreed to the purchase price Huntington Honda West, for a 2010 Odyssey and was hassled so bad to buy an extended warrantee that I had to walk away. I agreed to the purchase price and we agreed on my trade in value. Tom Benicasa, the salesman, was very helpful and is an asset to the dealer. My experience went sour when I had to meet with the finance man or business manager as they call him, who's name is Sam. After a phone conversation the night before I was to pick it up, I was told that he included a $3300.00 7 year/70000 mile warrantee that I told him that I did not need. I was told to come in the next day to sign off on the warrantee that I did not want it. The following day I went to the dealership to take care of the proper paperwork so that I could pick up the vehicle that night. This guy tried so hard to push me in to a $3300.00 extended warrantee that I told him numerous times that I was not interested. He haggled with me lowering the price to $900.00 which I still did not want. He proceeded to tell me that he was right and I was wrong and that I should call him to tell him that he was right when I had a problem. I could not believe what I was hearing. I told him I did not need this vehicle that bad and was told that if I did not want to go through with it I should speak to the salesman. I transferred insurance and left thinking that I was through with paperwork. I said what do I need when I come back tonight to pick up the new car and was told I just needed the title and my keys. After getting home 20 minutes away, I was called from the dealership telling me that I needed to come back because I did not leave the title of my 06. I said I was told to just show up that evening with my title and keys. I returned back an hour later to be greeted by an irate finance manager who began to tell me how I left without leaving the title. I said if you weren't trying so hard to sell me something that I did not want you would have taken care of the business at hand. After all I was in his office for about 30 minutes and had my title on his desk. After he told me that that was not the case I said you know what keep your car. I have never been treated like this in any dealership. I said are you sure you guys do this for a living? I was credited my deposit and I left. I contacted Honda Corporate and lodged a formal complaint and I am still waiting for a response. More

Aldo dealt very professional and with great honesty and i finalized on a deal. During the whole process, never did I feel that I’m being pushed into something that I didn’t really want. What really impressed me was that a day after I got my new vehicle, I realized that I’d left something in my trade in vehicle. I called Aldo and he told me that he’ll make sure that I’ll get it asap. within a few days I received my package and I couldn’t be more thankful for that. If you ever go into Huntington Honda, make sure to ask for Aldo who’ll make your visit an enjoyable experience. More
I went in with my son to replace a 2005 Honda Civic that we originally bought at Huntington Honda. Since then I bought a Civic for my wife and myself there. We took a test drive and sat down to talk price a we originally bought at Huntington Honda. Since then I bought a Civic for my wife and myself there. We took a test drive and sat down to talk price and financing. I watched the price go down from the MSRP as we talked with the pleasant sales associate whose name I will not mention. He was very helpful. We finally got down to a price that was still too high but I would at least consider. The salesman took my credit card as a sign that I was serious about a purchase and went to his manager. The salesman came back from his manager with a price that was almost $1000 higher than the "hoped for" price and no credit card. I immediately demanded my credit card back and was ready to leave. The manager came over and said that the price written in large bold print was "not really the final price". Without asking what that meant, I took my credit card back and left. Anyhow, I was dreading their final process where you play the "down payment/financing game". That isn't even discussed until you agree on a price. The Honda "Deal Days" advertisement on TV specified 1.9% or .9% financing was available to select customers, but I had two previous experiences in the business office with the dealer. The first was a dream and I got financing at a good rate direct from Honda. The second time I was shoved into financing from a bank at a terrible rate with an extended warranty added on to insure that I financed more than $10,000 which was their "lowest limit". I had never heard of such nonsense but since the warranty premium was refundable (if the warranty was not used) and I needed the car immediately, I relented. I found out later that one of the credit agencies that they contacted had not given me a rating because of "limited credit history". If they had contacted a third agency, it would have confirmed the top tier rating of the first. I paid off that 36 month loan within a year. In all, my opinion of the dealership has gone from best to worst as the years have gone by. Their rush to become a top volume dealership has done them in. As a post script, I bought a similarly equipped Hyundai Elantra a day later at a substantially lower price with a top tier financing rate (directly from Hyundai financial) at a dealer whose "shenanigans" caused me to walk out when trying to purchase the original 2005 Honda Civic. Go figure. More
