Came in with low hopes, came out with a new car! We are in a financial pinch, and it was time to trade down my minivan for something more economical - in both payment and gas use. Knowing we had a bi We are in a financial pinch, and it was time to trade down my minivan for something more economical - in both payment and gas use. Knowing we had a big payoff on the van, we didn't have high hopes of being able to afford a trade. We've had the experience before of going into a dealership (not this one!) and having the salesperson treat you like they KNOW this isn't going to happen. But we thought we'd give it a go, at least to find out where we stood... Well, Alam worked with John Francis in financing to crunch numbers. We came in thinking we could only get a cheap used car if we were lucky, but by the time the Honda team was done, we had unloaded our van with 110,000 miles on it and the fear of needing major work in time for the holidays, and I am now sitting in a brand new Civic. In the end, with extended warranty and everything else, our payment is actually going up $6 - but for a BRAND NEW car, with no fear of breakdowns and things falling apart. Because it is a Honda, it will retain its value, which I like, but the best part - I went from paying $65 three times a week in gas to paying $30 one-and-a-half times! I went up from averaging 18 MPG in my van to 30.2 in the Civic (I'm the kind of person who keeps careful track), so that means big savings. I sat in a Civic a few years ago, and couldn't even lift my elbows or see out from under the roof, because I'm a big guy and the car was too small, so I wasn't even going to try it. But Alam said, "Trust me, just get in." Well, I got in, and I love it! Totally different from my older experience (Alam told me they have made the interiors bigger the last few years). I'm grateful to Alam, John and Honda. We've gotten cars at this dealership before and they have not steered us wrong. This experience was a pleasure - took all of the stress and anxiety out of the process. We also know that their service department is top-notch, so we have that to look forward to... IF we need it! Needed a car quickly - had a very good experience My daughter had unfortunately been in an accident in Buffalo before the big snow storm. Luckily she was fine, but her car ended up totaled. We needed to find a replacement quickly on Thanksgiving weekend. Although it was a very cold day, we were greeted outside by Alam Kabir. I explained what we were looking for and he promised he would help us find a car that met our needs. He found her the perfect car, a very nice CRV for a great price. Everyone was very nice at the dealership and we were able to take the car home the same day. I was glad she was able to drive the car back to Buffalo the next day. Alam was very easy to work with. The finance person was also very nice and took care of getting everything transferred that day. (unfortunately, I'm drawing a blank on his name - Bob??). I've had my share of bad experiences at some dealerships, so it was nice to have a good experience for a change. They even backed up the car with a 125 k power train warranty - which gives me some peace of mind. Very good experience. More
