This dealership sold me a used Ford Fusion for my college bound son, I planned to transfer the vehicle to Texas before the start of the fall semester. The saleman provided an AutoCheck Vehicle History report that stated "no accidents or events have been reported". One month after the purchase, I called the salesman to inquire as to why the paint was peeling on the bumper, as I'm not an experienced car buyer and honestly didn't know. I did not hear back from the salesman. My first thought was that it had been in an accident that was never reported, so I was concerned about the safety of the car. I then reviewed the dealership on this website, hoping to resolve the issue. The rating I gave them was not stellar. Thankfully, I heard from the General Manager immediately. He had researched the history of the vehicle and said the paint job was due to scratches on the bumper and it was touched up and repainted by a local body shop. He assured me it had not been in an accident as I had feared. He then offered to pay for the bumper to be repainted correctly at a body shop in Texas. I am currently researching options for a quote and am very pleased at how this was handled by the GM at Huntington Beach Ford. He responded quickly with a solution and was very polite and professional. I am also pleased with DealerRater and highly recommend them to other moms who are unsure about the integrity of dealerships in their community, this is a great tool to research, get honest feedback and to voice your concerns. I went into HB Ford yesterday to look at a used 2013 Kia Optima I recently saw advertised. I was approached by Kenny who asked what he could help me with.
