So I was in the market for a Raptor, new or used, and this dealership had a used one with everything I wanted and then some. I talked with the internet sales team for a bit and he put me in touch with Ismail. Ismail was great but if you do your homework for buying a car you can see right through some of his tactics. He told me someone else was on his way down to look at the truck and was going to buy it. He told me that this person had left a deposit/check to hold it and he was ready to sell it to him but he would do me a “favor” and sell it to me right now. That “other customer” never showed up even though he was on his way. I had looked at other Raptors online and at other dealerships and the one at Huntington Beach had lower miles...more features...at a better price. This was a good thing and what drew me to the dealership in the first place. Anyway Ismail and I went on a test drive and we went back to talk numbers. They would not budge on the price of the Raptor...at all. No harm in trying but it was already competitively priced as is. I had a pretty sizeable down payment which Ismail tried to get me to use as a first payment instead. In other words, he wanted me to finance the entire vehicle. I laughed at this and asked if he was serious. Anyway after that we talked about financing the rest of the vehicle and they worked with me on this part which helped. I left with the truck that day. I was a little upset when I asked if they would fill up the tank. They said not on used cars which was awful because every other dealership that I have purchased a used car from filled up the gas tank. Especially on a $65k+ truck. Ismail’s follow through after I bought the truck was less than stellar as I was promised an instruction manual and a detailed car wash. I was the one who had to call and follow up to see if things were getting done. After a while I thought that it was more of hassle to drive 45 minutes just to get an instruction manual so I cut my losses. I was very happy with the truck and the price they sold it at. Make sure you do your homework though before going in and be prepared. The whole experience was average and I am sure you can find other dealerships with better follow through. As far as recommending them...I am on the fence. More

Keep in mind my wife and I have good credit. At the end of the day we didn't want to haggle any more or drage the process out so we agreed to the lease. Bad deal but that is on us, we accepted. Fast forward 3 years, our lease is up in 3 months. The email us telling us that they need our car for their pre owned inventory. Email specifically says "whether we buy or lease a car from them or not" they need our car. I find a car at another dealership, buy it. Call HB Ford to arrange the return and I am told that I could only return if I buy or lease from them... NOT WHAT THE EMAIL SAID. Again, the salesman needs to talk to the "manager" calls back and says that he used an "old template" and that it doesnt apply to my lease. BS. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. More

To which I said: "No, I'm informing you, The number Google has for you is wrong, as a business I'd image you'd want search engines to have your contact info correct" to which she said "oh well I wouldn't know about that." I know what PART HAS FALLEN OFF MY FORD, its the handle to the trunk.. the service lady was like "you have to come in on Saturday at 8:30am so we can figure out what part is needed, then see if its in stock order it if its not, get it painted, THEN we can install it" I said, "I'm sure you don't have if and if you do, it will have to be painted, can't I order it now, you paint it and then I show up for install?" She said "I don't know what Parts has on stock it would have to go to them" I asked to transfer to parts... The parts guy was the most helpful of the FORD staff, but still helped as much as an umbrella can stop a tsunami.. He had the part, explained that it will have to go to the 3rd Party Paint shop, and based on their work load they don't know when it will be done. I asked if I can authorize that to be done over the phone because getting the car their during their work hours is difficult for my family sharing a car, getting out of work at 5:30 and having to pick up a kid at school on the way to FORD would be impossible. The Parts guy said "that's a call for the service department to make, but I'd feel bad transferring you, you could get lost" ... Lost? taking my chances I suggested he transfer and he was right, I got Paul in service who was very steadfast that I had to be there, the car had to be there, they can't authorize any work without the car being there and I had to approve the RO so they could generate the PO to send the part to HB Bodyworks for paint..." I re-explained my time constraints, my goal of wanting to show up on Saturday and have the part already prepared so installation could happen as quickly as possible... rather than their suggestion that my single car family show up and wait all day saturday, potentially till monday for this to be correct. (Btw, I'm calling on Thursday)... I asked if there's anyway for a "special circumstance of customer service type request that I authorize this work to be done over the phone, I can give you my CC number to hold or charge" .. to which Paul said "you want be to go against policy to order a part based and get RO and PO based on a phone call, you're asking me to break our policy" I said "yes I'm asking for customer service from the service department cause my family and I can't get there before 6 during the week day, and don't have all day on Saturday for you to send this part off to be painted... Its a simple part 2feet by 4inches of plastic, I will pre-pay over the phone.. Can we solve this problem in any way, and I'm willing to pay extra for this service if need be?" Paul said "no you and that car have to be here before we do anything"... ... called HB Bodyworks, the 3rd party body shop HB FORD Service uses, they said they'd order the part from ford, FOR ME, paint it, call me when its ready and I can show up for its install... cheaper than FORD Service, and exactly what I wanted ... Everything pre-done over the phone so that on Saturday I can just show up for the install... Customer Service, found not at FORD. More

Anyways, I say fine just to move the process along, and when they go to run my credit history, it took them literally an hour before I got fed up. I asked for my keys and walked out the door, only to have them come after me and offer some outrageous APR for a person with A+ credit history. Waste of 3.5 hours of my life, I called another Ford dealership on the way home and had them e-mail me a quote that was much better than what this place offered me. I will never shop at this place for a new car again. On another note, I got into two of their vehicles to do a small test drive, both of their remotes were dead, along with both batteries. I had to wait for the salesman to walk back and grab the jumper cables both times. More
