Just wanted to give a shout out the everyone that helped us from the service department to the sales department. Everyone we talked with was so helpful and kind. Jhon with service went above and beyond for me. He was even able to retrieve a few things from our car that was completely flooded from the storm on Sept. 27th and kept them safe until we were able to get to the dealership. Kristen with Customer Service, Jacob with Finance, Jordan our Sales Representative and Scott who finalized all of the paperwork on our new vehicle. Thank you so much for all of your help and making us feel special. More
They thought I was another clueless woman when I walked in the door to have them check the transmission on my 2005 Outback 3.0. They were very mistaken. My transmission had seemed to have a shifting de in the door to have them check the transmission on my 2005 Outback 3.0. They were very mistaken. My transmission had seemed to have a shifting delay and some occasional jerky shifts and I asked them to check it over. They claimed the ATF fluid was burned and I needed a new transmission. Neither was correct. After waiting for 5 hrs in the lobby. No, I’m not kidding, they also claimed one of my new spark plugs was cracked. It’s important to note I didn’t have any symptoms of a cracked plug. They replaced the plug and I left. I didn’t make it but a mile down the road before my engine started misfiring and I ran the code to confirm this (the check engine light was flashing). I keep a scanner in my car. I called them and limped the car back there. The ignition coil connector had broke off. It wasn’t broken when we replaced the plugs. They broke it when removing the spark plugs. I was there about the transmission, so they had no reason to be touching the plugs in the first place. They reconnected it as best as possible and I left, again. I proceeded to get a second opinion from an independent Subaru shop. They showed me the fluid, it was bright red and not burnt at-all! They said no codes were showing, but the transmission was slipping a little, but it was nowhere near requiring an immediate replacement. Hunter Subaru charged me money to lie to my face. I’ve since replaced the valve body and the transmission works much better. Always get a second opinion. Better yet, don’t take your car to a dealership unless it’s for warranty work or a recall. What bother me the most is they lied about the fluid being burned. They hoped I would just blindly believe them. I’m glad I didn’t. I’m way more car savvy than the average woman and they pulled this on me, I shudder to think of how many other woman have been taken advantage of. It goes without saying, they’ll never be allowed the privilege to work on my car again. I now do majority of the work myself. More
Hunter Subaru is TOPS in my book. I have purchased just approximately 25 new and used cars for our family. And I can honestly say that Hunter Subaru has the BEST Sales and service te I have purchased just approximately 25 new and used cars for our family. And I can honestly say that Hunter Subaru has the BEST Sales and service teams of any Subaru dealership that I have dealt with. Hunter Subaru genuinely wants to please the customer. Their Service department is second to none! Jhon Salguero has been my service advisor on 3 separate occasions. He and his team seem to know Subarus inside out. They will not disappoint you. All my maintenance and warranty issues were properly addressed. I have been able to quickly get in and out of the dealership whenever I made an appointment. Mark, was one of the mechanics who worked on my 2024 Outback Touring XT three times. Whether routine maintenance or something more complicated, he got the job done. More

We purchased a car out of state and purchased a new tag from the dealership. They wrote a 30 day temporary tag that expired on May 25. On May 25 I emailed to get the disposition of the tag and was told it was on its way to the DMV. Today June 7 still no tag and we were just informed by the receptionist that it was mailed on May 22. She didn’t realize she was disclosing their blatant incompetence. Additionally she was arrogant and condescending. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and go elsewhere. More

They did about a 20 point inspection then said the rear blind spot was working. The tech and a sale rep. walked behind behind the car and it did not detect them nor give a warning. Was then told it is not suppose to detect people. It had previously. Car was i another repair shop and battery went dead. Would start with a booster but would not hold a charge. Car was two years old. Now, the new five month old battery went dead. Car will not start even with jumper cables. Found a bulletin on line that says 2020 - 2021 Outbacks have this issue due to something called "Dark Current" We have never been notified about this issue and how to correct it. Believe it or not, we are trading this car in for a lease on a 2024 Outback. Have emailed and talked with three different people today at the dealership as to what our next step was or if we can get their road side service. No response from anyone today. More

The absolute worst Subaru service in America. Will lie right to your face. Was quoted a price for 60,000 mile service. Called back after checking other dealers nearby to set up appointments. I ha Will lie right to your face. Was quoted a price for 60,000 mile service. Called back after checking other dealers nearby to set up appointments. I had to break in to two different appointments. When I was scheduling the appointments, I mentioned several times the price I had been quoted and the person I was speaking with to make appointments agreed more than once the price was correct. Went for the first appointment and requested a price for the remainder of service required. Of course it was almost $300.00 more than I had been quoted. I questioned this and was told that it must have been quoted wrong. I understand a person quoting the wrong price once, but I questioned the original quoted price more than once and it was confirmed by a second person. My main problem is that Delores called me and left a message how they could fix my problem and earn my business. I returned her call on 3 different occasions with no response back. Please for your sake go to Greenville SC or Johnson City TN for your service. The Subaru dealers in Asheville are the worst. More
