I was looking for a used vehicle for my son and found something I liked on the internet late one night. I have been really busy at work lately and had no idea how I was going to find time to make this happen. I left a message through the internet ad on cars.com and the next morning Ziggy called me. He was friendly and helpful. He told me that if I could drive by at lunch, I could take the car back to work with me to see how I liked it. He mentioned he worked until 9:00 amd that if I could make it before that we could sit down and work out a deal. When I arrived at the dealership the car was actually on and waiting for me! The car (a CRV) was perfect - just what I was looking for and Ziggy and I worked out a deal later that evening which included my trade. I went and picked up my son from a night class brought him to the dealership and followed him home in his new car. Ziggy made buying a car EASY AND FUN. The dealership was spotless. Everyone was very friendly to me and I was especially impressed that their service and parts department is open until midnite - EXCELLENT for even my work schedule. This was the best dealership experience that we have ever had. The salesman (Mark), manager (Larry) and finance guy (Bob) were all very knowledgable at what they did. My ex and I bought a new Civic from Jim last year and he treated us great, so now that I needed a used car for myself I went to Jim. What a major disappointment, my credit is poor right now and I knew my op treated us great, so now that I needed a used car for myself I went to Jim. What a major disappointment, my credit is poor right now and I knew my options were limited but felt that because Jim was good to me then I would receive the same treatment, I was wrong. They were able to secure financing through a sub prime lender but the cars Jim showed me were absolute crap for an overly inflated price. And to add insult to injury he told me that I should look into buying a $1000 car with my down payment until I fixed my credit issues. I am the type that would be a customer for life if I was treated well, but after this experience I won't ever step foot on Hugh White's lot again. Not only did they lose my business but they lost the business of a friend whose daughter is looking to buy a used Accord. More
I requested a quote over the internet and started a game of email-tag. I started working with Ali Blair, but either she did not receive or did not read my email. Jerry Atkinson emailed me to check in and make sure that they were "getting me taken care of." It seemed weird to me that two of his emails were sent at 12:00am and 2:55am. After that, Ali emailed me to ask how she could help. When I re-asked for information on my choice of model and trim level, she replied that the dealership had none and were not scheduled to get any in months. They didn't do anything particularly bad, but it was an annoying waste of time. I feel like she should have been more up front about their lack of incoming inventory when they first received my request for a quote. More
The main reason I'm writing is to mention that Hugh White Honda has service until Midnight. That's service! The people I encountered were helpful. The customer waiting area was the best I've seen. Friendly employees and a clean facility says a lot about how the place is run. To top off my good experience, I got free coffee and my Accord got a free car wash. More
They are really excellent to deal with. I walk in and dealt with a guy name Jim. Wanted to get a quote and test drive an Accord. He gave me the keys and didn't ride with me which gave me freedom just t dealt with a guy name Jim. Wanted to get a quote and test drive an Accord. He gave me the keys and didn't ride with me which gave me freedom just to experience the car without a salesman yapping in my ears. Then when I got back, there was no pressure at all and he gave me a quote in writing that was below invoice. The only reason I didn't buy from them is because I liked the Passat better than the Accord. But Jim was definitely the best salesperson I've dealt with. More
