I called this morning to inquire a WARNING: DO NOT TRAVEL TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP! Better yet, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP! I called this morning to inquire about a GTI that is listed for sale, and confirmed that it was still available. I explained that I was driving 2 HOURS EACH WAY IN TRAFFIC from CT, and TAKING ONE OF MY FEW REMAINING VACATION DAYS, and asked if they could hold it for a couple hours. Got to the dealer, went through all the motions of getting my trade-in appraised, even took the thing for the test drive. Everything's going great! I think I'll put a deposit down. Go to grab a coffee before I pull out the trusty old credit card, and am greeted with the question "How do you feel about red? I feel terrible, but the car you came here for is actually sold". Not meaning in the last couple of hours since I called, no. This car has BEEN sold. I did not take one of my few remaining vacation days, and drive 4 hours round trip for a bright red GTI, I am not interested in a bright red GTI (sounds crazy, but that's the reason I asked about the grey one). After calculating my vacation day that was unnecessarily burned, my time wasted (roughly 6 hours total), gas, etc, Hudson Valley Volkswagen cost me $500. How do they make this right? By trying to up-sell me on a more expensive model, and coming down on the price enough to reduce the monthly payment $5 off ticket price. Not a penny more, after that incredible mess of an unorganized screw up. Wouldn't want to come out of the royal screw up without milking me for a nice profit, or god forbid LOSE MONEY. Could you even imagine losing a few bucks to make things right with a potential lifelong customer to admit you just cost him a day of his life, and money? To not even know which cars you have available for sale. Even KNOWING the potential buyer is traveling from out of state and taking a day off from work. By the way - TO THE BUYER OF THE 2015 GTI SE, VIN: 3VWYT7AU0FM083095 WITH A LEGALLY BINDING SALE INDICATING MILAGE, OWNERSHIP, AND FINALIZED FINANCING - Your car drives pretty nice, buddy. I hope I save someone else from this same experience in the future through this review. More

I know if there is ever a problem they will fix if even if they have to take the car home will us they have done that a lot,(we are tough people to,deal with). Excellent Experience I travel an 1.5 hours to get to Hudson Valley Volkswagon. There is a service center closer to me but I choose to take the longer drive because of how easy from start to finish with HV. I had to reschedule because of the weather and they were understanding. Friendly, helpful and the service didn't take long, I waited while they worked on my car. Highly recommend the service department! More
Late Friday night service with no call or appt. I hit a pothole at high speed on the highway. I stopped into HV VW late Friday at night with my GTI. In addition to the oil change that I needed, the serviceman checked my tires, brakes, a multipoint inspection and lubricated the doors and trunk. I was only charged for the oil change, for which I had a coupon in addition. I always feel that I can count on help when I need it and that my older car will be safe. More
