Having purchased mostly luxury cars over the past couple of years, I am a This was the first truly exceptional car buying experience I have ever had. Having purchased mostly luxury cars over the past couple of years, I am accustomed to being treated well at dealerships. However, having worked in this industry myself for years, I also despise the necessary, but uncomfortable, part where the salesmen does his job and attempts to "sell" me on something. This was a different experience all together. This is how every car buying experience should be! From a training standpoint these guys should just give up on car sales, and go into the business of training people at Ford Dealerships... they would make a lot more money and be doing us all a favor. From the moment I walked through the door, Mike Smith, my salesman, treated me as though I had been purchasing vehicles from them for years even though it was my first time visiting the showroom. He was super polite, friendly, and surprisingly knowledgeable about the product line. The vehicle was for my wife and she was actually initially interested in the Ford Mustang, but after being discarded from a few Ford dealerships like we were trash, we decided it was worth a look at something else. As I repeatedly got tossed out of Ford dealerships because I wouldn't allow them to switch us from loaded cars to base cars for the same price, or wouldn't fill out a credit application before we saw the vehicle we came in on, I was skeptical walking into Dodge for those reasons, plus the fact that we had no idea what we were looking for at this point. Mike was fantastic at politely qualifying our wants, needs, and budget and immediately placed us into a vehicle to test drive without any of the games or information required at the previous dealerships. Our experience was already shaping up similar to what we expected from most of the luxury manufacturers we had dealt with in the past, a welcome surprise. We didn't actually know what to expect when we drove the Dodge Charger R/T but I knew when I looked over at my wife when she was behind the wheel and saw her smile that Ford couldn't give us a Mustang for free... she was in love. Mike took us out for an extended test drive which was great. My wife is not one to make a decision just going around the block and he was so patient even on a Saturday to give us all the time we needed to really become accustomed to the vehicle. By the time we got back to the dealership we were sold without him having to ask for the sale... it was perfect. Unfortunately our parameters had changed a bit, though no fault of his own and because of our indecisiveness and desire to lease rather than buy the payment was more than we were comfortable with. Mike did everything he could to work with us on that vehicle, but unfortunately we were too far apart. Before we were getting ready to leave, I was introduced to Ed Finn, a true gentleman and genuine car guy! Ed is the sales manager. Initially I was getting ready for Ed to attempt to jam me into the vehicle but yet again I was happily surprised when he actually took the time to go through all of his inventory and find the PERFECT car for us. He was with us over a half an hour running ideas past us and attempting to find something that fit our needs, wants, and budget. We were so excited yesterday to pickup our BRAND NEW DODGE CHALLENGER R/T. The entire time, through the entire experience I felt like I was getting fair and honest treatment. I know its their job to sell me a car, that's how the place stays in business. But the difference here is that I also felt like it was honestly one of their priorities to make sure that I left happy in addition to leaving with a vehicle. I can't say that about many of the other places I visited prior. I really can't even say that about most of the places I've even purchased vehicles from in the past where I had a good experience. I wouldn't consider us Dodge people just yet, but we very well could be if buying cars from them in the future was as easy as buying the car we purchased yesterday. Thanks again to all the staff at Chrysler Jeep Dodge of the Hudson Valley. Excellent Customer Service Kris Mc Neely was my sales person and Ed Finn was the Sales Manager. Not once did they make me feel like I was wasting my time. They were there to accommodate my needs and were very honest. Their follow up was great and even the rest of the workers made you feel comfortable. not the service i expect from a dealer i sent my ex-wife (YES we still get along and sometimes she asks for recommendations on repairs)in on 3/17/17 for 3 services, a tire rotation, a SYNTH i sent my ex-wife (YES we still get along and sometimes she asks for recommendations on repairs)in on 3/17/17 for 3 services, a tire rotation, a SYNTHETIC oil change which she had a Chrysler oil change contract and a transmission fluid AND FILTER replacement,at the write up the writer couldn't seem to figure out how to retrieve the contract even though she told him it was still under her old married name, and had to give the write up to anther writer, after several hours there for 3 relatively quick routine services she was presented the bill which was higher than the original quote having to get to work she paid and when she had time to review it she noticed they CHARGED her full price for the oil change and DIDN'T use the REQUESTED SYNTHETIC OIL, this car has ALWAYS used synthetic oil and she is now hesitant about having regular oil used , she also noticed there was 12 quarts of trans fluid and a transmission "flush" kit but NO sealer or fluid billed out (i have had plenty of mopar's over my live and plenty of services so i know what should be billed on each service) this car has to last and she performs all necessary maintenance at a dealer,and expected the fluid AND filter to be replaced as requested NOT a transmission "flush" which is NOT recommended in the owners manual, she called and asked what happened they REFUSED to make it correct saying the oil was a "blend" yes the oil this engine takes (5w20) can be bought in blend synthetic OR straight mineral but she specifically requested the service contract she paid for to be used with the SYNTHETIC oil change upgrade, i have no idea who the manager is BUT as a first time customer this was DEFINITELY NOT the service that was expected from a dealer she will be returning to a dealer farther from home BUT honest, and willing to do the maintenance requested More
