I am new to the area and I needed to get a car fast because I need to be able to find my way around Charleston. When I arrived at Hudson Nissan, I was greeted and helped in less than 5 minutes. Ryan wa because I need to be able to find my way around Charleston. When I arrived at Hudson Nissan, I was greeted and helped in less than 5 minutes. Ryan was my sales representative. He had a list of cars and as I told him what I was looking for he narrowed down my choices. I drove 3 cars that day and decided to buy a new car. He was very upfront and honest with me, and I got what I wanted. I recommend this dealership to everyone looking for a new/used car. More

I saw a used car online last night and sent for info, got a call first thing this morning and since I was in the area decided to stop by the dealership to check out the cars. Was met by Ryan Chavis, who sat a call first thing this morning and since I was in the area decided to stop by the dealership to check out the cars. Was met by Ryan Chavis, who sat and asked what my price range was and what kind of car was important to me. Afterwards we test drove 2 cars and I picked one that while was a little more than I wanted to spend, offered me a better warranty, more benefits and less out of pocket expenses in the long run. Ryan worked diligently with my mom and I to get the financing down to a payment that I could afford. It was probably one of the easiest business transactions I have ever completed in my life. Erik Kane, the finance guy, explained all the paperwork in detail, answered all of my questions and was NOT the typical staunch, overbearing money guy. At no point did I feel pressured to buy anything or was I subliminally manipulated into add-ons or anything else that would have made this purchase impossible. Quite possibly some of the best customer service in Charleston. More

Well, our experience at Hudson Nissan started out well. We met with Tiffany when we went to look at a 2009 Nissan Armada that was advertised on the internet and she was very nice and not pushy at all. We We met with Tiffany when we went to look at a 2009 Nissan Armada that was advertised on the internet and she was very nice and not pushy at all. We told her we wanted to look at and drive the 2009 Armada we saw advertised on the internet so she went in the back lot and drove up in an Armada. As we were test driving it, my wife asked her if this was the 2009 and she flipped threw some papers in the backseat and told us that it was a 2007 Armada and that they did not have the 2009 that was advertised any more. This did alarm me a little that she did not come straight out and tell us that they didn't have the 2009 and that the car we were driving was in fact a 2007 until my wife asked to confirm the year of the vehicle. I initially tried to give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe this was just an honest mistake but I now believe the deception to be intentional. We thanked Tiffany for her assistance and told her we were going to keep looking. A short time later, we found that Hudson Nissan had a 2008 Nissan Armada for sale so we contacted Tiffany and told her that we would be coming to look at it. We came in, looked at it and test drove the Armada. A few days later, we decided we would like to purchase the 2008 Armada so I called Tiffany and told her we were interested. I told her our trade-in (which was paid off) blue booked at $6,175 (trade-in value) and I would like to get something close to that. Tiffany told me she understood this and thought my request was reasonable. I then told her I couldn't pay the list price of $24,000.00 (it was a little over $24,000.00 but I don't remember the exact price) and asked if she could get me a better price. I told Tiffany we needed a Class III hitch put on the vehicle because we would be towing a horse trailer and Tiffany said she would have one put on. I also told her we would not need financing because we would be writing a check for the remaining price after the trade-in. Tiffany told me she would talk to her manager about a better price and that if they needed to give me more for my trade-in than what the blue book recommended to bring down the price of the Armada they could probably do that. Tiffany also told me that other people were looking at the same Armada so it would be best to put a $100 deposit on the car to hold it so it wouldn't be sold out from under us. I figured this was probably some cheesy used car salesperson ploy but it was only $100 and it would be put toward the balance of the vehicle so I didn't complain. I told Tiffany I would call her back when I got to work with a credit card number. When I got settled in at work I called Tiffany and provided her with a credit card number for the $100 deposit on the car. I asked her what her manager said about a price for the Armada and she said he was thinking in the area of $22,000.00. Believing we would be able to work out an agreement for the Armada I told Tiffany we would be coming on Saturday afternoon. So on Saturday afternoon my wife and I went to Hudson Nissan planning on trading in our current vehicle and purchasing the Armada. We inspected the Armada a second time and test drove it again. We noticed the interior wasn't very clean for a vehicle they planned on selling and even Tiffany mentioned that she needed to get it detailed again due to the condition. We also pointed out that the Armada did not have the towing hitch that Tiffany said she would have put on. Tiffany apologized that she forgot about the hitch and said she would get it on there. Tiffany also told us that Hudson Nissan provided a limited lifetime engine and power train warranty, a bumper to bumper warranty up to 100,000 miles and five years of free oil changes all free of charge for purchasing the vehicle. When we sat down it the office to discuss the purchase of the Armada I told Tiffany I would like to read the bumper to bumper warranty she told us about but she couldn't produce it and said that the finance guy would tell us all about the warranties. I reminded Tiffany that we did not need to see the finance guy because we were not financing anything but she said he does all of the other paperwork and knows more about the warranties. Tiffany was able to produce the limited lifetime warranty for the engine and power train but suspiciously was unable to come up with anything on the free bumper to bumper. Then Tiffany tells us that we would have to pay for the hitch for the Armada and it would not be included as she implied so she shows a quote for about $300. Tiffany then calls her manager to get a trade-in offer and a price on the car. After she gets off the phone she tells me she forgot to add in the labor for installing the hitch and that it would be over $400 so her manager said we would probably just be better off getting a hitch somewhere else. Tiffany then offers us $4000.00 for our trade-in and the price for the Armada stays at $24,000.00. I told Tiffany that I thought the offer for the trade-in was unreasonable considering the blue book value and that even at the next step down in condition for the blue book value it was still about $5,500.00. Tiffany then asked me to give her a dollar amount "out the door" that I would write a check for and I told her $15,000.00 (then add the value of my trade-in on to that). She wrote the number down, I initialed it and she left to consult with her manager again. Tiffany returned with a counter offer of $20,444.00 "out the door" and I thought this was very unreasonable considering the things Tiffany had told me before about trade-in value and lowering the price of the Armada when I spoke to her on the phone before. This would also have me paying the full listed price for the Armada. Tiffany said it was a different sales manager that told her $22,000.00 than who was there today. She also presented us with a sheet showing how many Armada's were for sale in the area breaking it down by the SE model and the lowest number which was the Armada's that had leather interior and what the average price was for them and the lowest number was circled for the ones with leather interior. We pointed out to Tiffany that the Armada we looked at did not have leather interior so the number, which was of course the lowest, she circled was not accurate and she said she knew the wrong number was circled. I told her there was a huge gap between $15,000.00 and $20,444.00 and that I could negotiate but I couldn't come close to $20,444.00 so Jason Campbell came into the office. I told Jason the same thing that there was a big difference between $15,000.00 and $20,444.00 and told him I couldn't come close to $20,444.00 but was willing to negotiate. Jason suggested that we just finance the difference and we told him that we were not financing anything and told him that Tiffany had previously mentioned that they may be able to do around $22,000.00 for the Armada. Jason replied that he might be able to reduce the "out the door" price by $400 to $20,044.00. We told him absolutely not and his response was to get up shake our hands and tell us to have a nice day. I asked about getting my $100 deposit refunded and he told me to provide the card to Tiffany and she would take care of it. When I began handing Tiffany the card she told me that she never charged a deposit to my credit card. This tells me that the $100 deposit speech was nothing but a shady ploy to get me to think I needed to hurry up and buy the car because it was such a hot commodity. I believe that I was told lies and purposely deceived just so they could get me in the door and pressure me to spend more money by financing the difference and pay full price. I was very up front about my expectations and limitations to Tiffany and she made me believe we could negotiate a sale. Several hours of our life were wasted by these people and we even had to pay a sitter to watch our five children only to go to this business and be jerked around and lied to for several hours. The bottom line is that we were honest and Hudson Nissan was not. On the surface they appeared to be a different kind of car dealership but deep down they are just the stereotypical used car salespeople. I will tell everyone I encounter that may be in the market for a vehicle to avoid shopping at Hudson Nissan. More
Brian Smith loves his job. He greets you with a smile and he is concern about the customer. He is not a pusher! He takes your car in the back and he will return to let you know what he finds. Corey was a joy to work with-very straightforward with none of the BS that you can experience when car shopping. We told him what we wanted and he made every effort to meet our expectations, being honest none of the BS that you can experience when car shopping. We told him what we wanted and he made every effort to meet our expectations, being honest about what he could and could not do. He was also very knowledgable about the cars on the lot and gave us a ton of information on each car he showed us, from history to safety features. We went in there expecting to leave with a used car, but left with a new car that fit our budget and was a better value. Highly reccommend Hudson Nissan and Corey Jones. More
