Back in March 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic, I received a recall notice for my Elantra Touring GLS 2010. I called Rte 4 Hyundai (where I'd purchased my car in 2010) and was assured they had the pa received a recall notice for my Elantra Touring GLS 2010. I called Rte 4 Hyundai (where I'd purchased my car in 2010) and was assured they had the part for the fix. I made a 10AM appointment, drove the 14 miles, followed by a friend in her car, and checked in. I was told 90 minutes for the fix. My friend and I took off in her car to grocery shop. 90 minutes into the shop, I called and was told "another hour". We waited. I called again. "Another hour." 4 hours into the project, I complained. Appox a half hour later, my car was "ready" and handed back to me by a grumpy young fellow. I asked for the paperwork. "No paperwork." Thinking the fix was done, I drove away. Two weeks ago, I received another recall notice for the fix that was SUPPOSED to have been done by Rte 4 Hyundai! What followed was a series of phone calls, demanding an explanation as to why I was told the fix was done when it wasn't. I was met with a series of surly responses. FAST FORWARD to my call to Hudson Hyundai. Lorenzo answered the phone and couldn't have been nicer. We booked an appointment. Unfortunately, the needed part had to be ordered. A few days later, Lorenzo called. The part had arrived and we booked another appointment for the fix. The guys in the service department were just great. I was told it would be a 2 hour wait. TWO HOURS LATER the fix was done and I was free to go. After my dismal experience with Rte 4 Hyundai, I cannot praise Hudson Hyundai enough. I was treated as a person and not an inconvenience. Rte 4 Hyundai could take a lesson from Hudson Hyundai about customer service. More
Cannot Get Out Their Own Way I have had multiple experiences with this dealership and while their pricing is decent, that is where it stops. 1.) First purchase there I called ahead after find a car on their website, spoke to 3 different people to confirm the pricing and fees. I was not haggling, the price listed was what I was paying - asked about fees etc. was told a price and confirmed that price by 3 people. At the dealership, they try and swindle you by stating that there is a $1,000 fee to activate the Certified aspect of the car even though it is advertised and marketed as CPO with out that stipulation. 2.) They register the car to the wrong address and send the title to the car there. When asked about it, I was told that it was my problem to fix which resulted in hours wasted at DMV and more money to get a corrected duplicate title even though it was their mistake. 3). Schedule a service appointment through their website, receive confirmation, drop the car off the previous evening using their overnight key drop. Radio silence. Not one word from the dealership. No one answers the phone for almost 24 hours. After repeated calls that went unanswered, an email inquiry that finally went answered by a curt and unfriendly employee Carolina Rojas, more unanswered phone calls to the dealership (all during their advertised and confirmed hours of operation of 9-2) the dealership calls to say that the work was not done, they missed the car and that they were going to do it now. I refused and told them I was on my way to pickup the car. 4.) Arriving at the dealership, there is flurry of people there, NONE OF WHICH ARE WEARING PROTECTIVE MASKS OR GLOVES DURING A PANDEMIC. Also, none of which it seems are capable of answering a phone. This dealership should not only be ashamed of itself for its poor and questionable business practices but at the very least they should be protecting their employees or the general public they come in contact with from spreading COVID-19. In a time when the dealership is closed by the State of NJ as all sales departments of dealerships are supposed to be, it was surprising for them to make me go in through the sales side of the dealership only to find customers sitting at sales desks, but you would think that they would be grateful for service customers since they are the only ones they should be servicing now. Nope, they seem to not care about any of their clients, their safety or otherwise. Embarrassed for this dealership. More

The best decision I made in my life. As I drove pass Hudson Hyundai one early Monday morning, I looked at the dealership and I wasn't sure if I wanted to finance a car or not. I walked inside of Hudson Hyundai and I was happy greeted by Joey, and Ron barahona. I was frustrated because of the old car that I was driving but, Ron and Joey made me feel at home. I wouldn't recommend anyone of of my friends,family members, or even a stranger anywhere else but to Hudson Hyundai. Those guys where awesome I am really grateful and honored that I made my decision with Hudson Hyundai. More

Stay away from Hudson Hyundai on Route 440 In my opinion, this dealership's service department needs to be shut down. Customer service is so poor. I sent my 3 year old Hyundai Sonata Hybrid to In my opinion, this dealership's service department needs to be shut down. Customer service is so poor. I sent my 3 year old Hyundai Sonata Hybrid to be checked out last year because this car could just stop anywhere whilst I am driving. The first two visits to the service point, I was told they cannot detect what is wrong with the car. The third time, I took a picture of what happened and dealership kept my car for 3 weeks during which time I never once received any phonecall or update from them. I had to go there myself to find out what was happening. I was told my car would never stop on the highway. Fast forward to monday March 26 2018 I was doing 45 on a highway when the car shut down. At the service location, I was told to pay $270 to change the belt because that was the reason the car was shutting down. I also noticed that my brakes started acting up so I sent the car to my mechanic and had the brake pads changed. My mechanic advised me to take my car back to Hudson Hyundai to have the master cylinder checked out as it could be the source of the car's recent problems. I agreed because my car is still under Hyundai warranty. Hyundai claimed there was nothing wrong with the master cylinder I guess because they were not willing to dish out $800 for a new cylinder for my car and claiming which ever mechanics I have been going to know nothing about Hybrids. As I said earlier, I have been driving this car for 3 years and know when something is not right with the car. Fast forward to Thursday March 29 2018. I had to leave the car overnight because they claimed they could not find anything wrong with my car. I was asked to return for a loaner car once I received a phone call that the loaner was ready. I arrived for this loaner on Friday March 30 and I was told to wait 15 minutes for this loaner. 15 minutes turned into an hour and when I inquired about the loaner I was told rudely that the service manager drove my car and found nothing wrong so I was not going to get a loaner. I was furious and threw a fit. Funny part was, when I told them I was going to write a review, one of them told me they don't care. This goes to tell you that the customer service at this dealership is unfriendly, rude and down right nasty. I would never recommend this place to anyone even if they offer you a free car. More

The appointment was 8:30 am I was done at 12:25pm😤 Late for work😣 Should have been 1 1/2 hour but nope! Its a revolving door for other customers with appts after mine😡 If this is the expectations for when you bring your car to the dealership I will have to search for an alternative shop, which will be a lot cheaper! Boo🐝 More
